I bring you a very special post and with the best views of the mountain range of Lousa, taking advantage of the fact that I can pilot my drone a maximum of 60 meters I wanted to give you my route from all angles, the path to the trail is demanding and now in winter it becomes quite slippery, but this is not about my adventure but about the history and mythology of the path that is customary to follow at sunset to walk among the souls of the adventurers who died there...🙇‍♂️🚶‍♀️🌏

Holaa aventureros y amante de los drones! les traigo un post muy especial y con las mejores vistas de la sierra montañosa de Lousa, aprovechando que puedo pilotear mi drone un maximo de 60metros quise darles mi recorrido desde todos los angulos, el camino hacia el sendero es exigente y ahora en invierno se hace bastante resbaladizo, pero esto no se trata de mi aventura si no de la historia y mitologia que tiene el sendero que se acostumbra a realizar al atardecer para caminar entre las almas de los aventureros alli fallecidos...🚙🌄🍄


# About the legend of the place🙇‍♂️🚩/ Sobre la leyenda del lugar🧭🌄




Clearly what I will tell you below is nothing more than a legend and you can look for it in the reviews of the place! Legend says that whoever made the path cursed it and that each person who completed it had to pay a tribute to nature, which always claims what is hers... Therefore, each person who makes the path leaves something on the ground. ranging from stone tombs to paths and accessories for the souls that rest here to have fun! And I tell you, I did the trail at dusk, almost at nightfall, and it is horribly hot in the area, with about 12 degrees, so that is mysterious and strange!🚙🌄🙇‍♂️

Claramente lo que te contare a continuacion no es mas que una leyenda y la puedes buscar en las reseñas del lugar! dice la leyenda que quien hizo el sendero lo maldijo y que cada persona que lo llegase a completar debia pagar un tributo a la naturaleza que reclama siempre lo que es de ella... Por tanto cada persona que hace el sendero deja algo en el suelo que va desde tumbas de piedras hasta caminos y accesorios para que se diviertan las almas que aqui descansa! y te digo hice el sendero en el atardecer casi al anocheser y es un calor horrible en la zona habiendo como 12 grados eso si que es misterioso y extraño!😨😳




Leaving aside the mythical and mysterious, the path is short, I would say about 3km and it goes around that mountain that you saw in the drone, I am literally at the top at about 400 meters or so! The path is demanding and there are many unevenness as you skirt the mountain. I recommend that you always watch where you step because there are craters between the stones and be very careful when approaching the edge. These rocks fall apart easily. dejando aun lado lo mitico y misterioso el sendero es corto diria unos 3km y va alrededor de aquella montaña que vistes en el drone literalmente estoy en el top a unos 400 metros mas o menos! el camino es exigente y hay muchos desniveles como bordearas la montaña te recomiendo que siempre mires donde pisas porque hay crateres entre las piedras y mucho cuidado con acercarte al borde estas rocas se desprenden con facilidad tienen miles de años aqui!🙇‍♂️🚙🚵‍♂️🚶‍♀️






**20 kilometers of adventure🚩🧭**

The landscape is extremely beautiful and humid, you are literally going to climb the mountain twice, being one of the paths more dangerous than others. According to what I read, there was also a Christian walk here where the entire village climbed the mountain to reach a small chapel in the top let's say like a procession something like that! I had to be quick because now the sun sets at 6 so I'm not allowed to fly the drone at night, however the weather favored me in all aspects and I liked the results of the shots!👀🧭🌏

El paisaje es extremadamente hermoso y humedo, literalmente vas a subir la montaña dos veces siendo uno de los caminos mas peligrosos que otros, segun lei tambien por aqui se hacia una caminata cristiana donde toda la aldea subia la montaña para llegar a una pequeña capilla en el tope digamos como una procesion algo asi! tuve que ser rapido porque ahora el sol se oculta a las 6 asi que no tengo permitido pilotear el drone en la noche sin embargo el clima me favorecio en todos los aspectos y me gusto el resultado de las tomas!🙇‍♂️🍍









I met several interesting places. I would like to describe them all but it would be several posts! So focusing on the trail, it was not easy to take aerial shots in some parts because I was afraid of hitting the drone with some weeds and falling into the void and there it was impossible to recover it, so in the most complicated areas I preferred to take photos with my camera! conoci varios lugares interesantes me gustaria describirlos todos pero serian varios post! asi que centrandonos en el sendero no fue facil hacer tomas aereas en algunas partes porque tenia miedo de golpear el drone con alguna maleza y caer al vacio y alli era imposible recuperarlo asi que en las zonas mas complicadas preferi tomar fotos con mi camara! puedes llegar aqui en carro, transporte publico creo que no llega! es un sitio muy aislado!🌾🌏🍄








After completing my entire adventure I am very happy because everything went well! Despite the many warnings from people who did not recommend doing the trail in winter because of the mud, it seemed super extreme to me. In reality, I slipped several times, but with hiking poles and boots it is almost impossible to fall, so if you come well prepared, do not Nothing happens and of course don't forget to bring your drone!🚩🌄😳

Luego de completar toda mi aventura me voy muy contento porque todo corrio bien! apesar de las muchas advertencias de personas que no recomendaron hacer el sendero en invierno por el barro a mi me parecio super extremo en realidad me resbale varias veces pero con los bastones de excursion y las botas es casi imposible caerte asi que si vienes bien preparado no pasa nada y claro no dejes de traer tu drone!🌏🚩🌄

However, they are experiences that are worth it because the Mediterranean landscape where pines and other colorful trees predominate makes you have a unique experience in your life! # A trail with amazing scenery🙇‍♂️🌄/ Un sendero con un paisaje asombroso🚩🧭



In addition to the experience of walking along long paths that border the Loures mountains and clearly being able to exercise, the Carrascal trail is an option to enjoy the nature of the region, who would say that all this landscape is just 10 minutes from the big city of Lisbon, Carrascal gives you immense options and alternatives to practice various types of sports in nature, from birdwatching to hiking, the latter being my favorite! Today was different because I told Julieth to collect many photos of the biodiversity that was in the area and we got footprints in the mud of more than 5 types of animals including wild boars, rabbits, a smart way to educate ourselves and respect natural resources!🚵‍♂️📚🌄🧭🚩

Ademas de la experiencia de caminar por largos caminos que bordean las montañas de Loures y claramente poder ejercitarte el sendero de Carrascal es una opcion para disfrutar la naturaleza de la region, quien diria que todo este paisaje esta a tan solo 10min de la gran ciudad de Lisboa, Carrascal te da inmensas opciones y alternativas para practicar varios tipos de deportes en la naturaleza, desde birdwatching hasta senderismo siendo este ultimo mi favorito! hoy fue diferente porque le dije a Julieth que recopilara muchas fotos de la biodiversidad que habia en la zona y conseguimos huellas en el lodo de mas de 5 tipos de animales incluyendo jabalis, conejos una forma inteligente de educarnos y respetar los recursos naturales!🌾🍄🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️





We felt like we were exhausted after the 10km of walking, Julieth and I are very used to taking long walks, I have 4 lungs xD, we knew that the terrain conditions were very demanding because we read about the trail before coming here! They recommend using hiking boots and poles because there are heights where the ups and downs are so dangerous that you depend on the poles to not fall, and I certify that there were several heights where we slipped to the point that without poles we probably would have hurt ourselves! We got lost and had to consume a lot of calories because we skirted the mountain, which made the trail extend 3km more!🌏🙇‍♂️

Sentimos que estabamos agotados a partir de los 10km de caminatas, julieth y yo estamos muy habituados hacer caminatas largas, yo tengo 4 pulmones xD, sabiamos que las condiciones del terreno eran muy exigentes porque leimos sobre el sendero antes de venir aqui! recomiendan usar botas de excursion y bastones porque hay altura donde las subidas y bajadas son tan peligrosas que dependes de los bastones para no caerte, y lo certifico hubo varias alturas que resbalamos al punto que sin bastones probablemente nos hubiesemos echo daño! nos perdimos y tuvimos que consumir muchas calorias porque bordeamos la montaña cosa que hizo extender el sendero 3km mas!🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🌏🚵‍♂️




Our adventure today is summarized in a walk of almost six hours, we traveled 18km maybe a little more, we made several stops to enjoy the landscape and Julieth collected photos to talk about the area in her next post! Filming with the drone is something that takes a while, we wanted to visit a biodiversity park but when we reached the top of the mountain at almost 6pm it would be a very bad idea to take a risk and go to the park because we would probably arrive at dusk and it makes no sense! We take various types of roads from paved because the trail begins in the town of Barro, to very dangerous and slippery brush roads! We climbed and descended several meters high!🌏🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🙇‍♂️

Nuestra aventura de hoy se resume en una caminata de casi seis horas, recorrimos 18km a lo mejor un poco mas, hicimos varias paradas para disfrutar del paisaje y julieth recolectar fotos para hablar de la zona en su proximo post! hacer filmajes con el drone es algo que demora un poco, queriamos visitar un parque de biodiversidad pero al llegar al tope de la montaña a casi las 18h seria muy mala idea arriesgar y ir al parque porque probablemente llegariamos al anochecer y no tiene sentido! tomamos varios tipos de caminos desde asfaltados porque el sendero comienza en la villa de Barro, hasta caminos de maleza muy peligrosos y resbaladizos! escalamos y bajamos varios metros de altura!🚵‍♂️🌄🧭





This was the end of the trail, it is a small mountain in Loures and where several other trails connect, as you can see the landscape is brutal! and climbing it is fun and quite a challenge. It is very steep and dangerous, I would say that it is about 300 meters high! you can see the city in the distance and the entire landscape of Loures🚵‍♂️🙇‍♂️

Este era el final del sendero es una pequeña montaña en Loures y donde se comunican varios otros senderos, como puedes ver el paisaje es brutal! y escalarla es divertida y todo un reto es muy empinada y peligrosa diria que tiene unos 300 metros de altura! puedes ver la ciudad a lo lejos y todo el paisaje de Loures🤩🌻

We are in the city of Odivelas which, despite being a city, is one of the largest districts of Lisbon and among its extensive kilometers there are hundreds of hectares of virgin land and many parks intended for nature lovers and adventurers like me! We decided to have a picnic to de-stress and forget the routine stress caused by work every day! The farm is called Fonte Santa and was built for the workers of the Bank of Portugal who have the right to enter here any day of the week! My friend Jose's wife has a membership here and of course we wouldn't miss out on a new adventure!⛲🍄🚙

Estamos en la ciudad de odivelas que apesar de ser una ciudad es uno de los distritos mas grandes de Lisboa y entre sus extensos kilometros hay cientos de hectares de terreno virgen y muchos parques destinados a los amantes de la naturaleza y aventureros como yo! decidimos hacer un picnic para desestresarnos y olvidar el estres rutinario que causa el trabajo dia a dia! la quinta tiene como nombre Fonte santa y fue construida para los trabajadores del banco de Portugal quienes tienen derecho a entrar aqui en cualquier dia de la semana! la esposa de mi amigo Jose tiene membresia aqui y claro que no nos perderiamos de una nueva aventura!🌷🌄🚵‍♂️🍄





Despite being private, the farm dedicates many hours a month to provide a space for different school activities that encourage the study and learning of nature, which I think is fantastic for these new generations to grow up without the need to be in front of technology. I read from some members of the fifth that it is interesting to do birdwatching here but of course most of the birds are small and I need a lens of at least 800mm, which I don't have yet! but it is fun to spend a day here from swimming pools that are too good in summer to tennis, soccer and basketball courts.🚵‍♂️🌄🌷

Apesar de ser privada la quinta dedica muchas horas en el mes para proveer un espacio a diferentes actividades escolares que incentivan al estudio y aprendizaje de la naturaleza lo que me parece fantastico para que estas nuevas generaciones crezcan sin aquella necesidad de estar frente a la tecnologia, lei por algunos miembros de la quinta que es interesante hacer birdwatching aqui pero claro la mayoria de las aves son pequeñas y necesito una lente minimo de 800mm cosa que aun no dispongo! pero es divertido pasar un dia aqui desde piscinas que son demasiado buenas en verano hasta canchas de tenis, futbol y basquetbol⛲🌻🚩🌏

Today was also the birthday of Jose, who you can search for on hive because he publishes here thanks to my invitation! I adore all of his birthday gifts, my wife and I gave him a replica of a World War II plane, a baseball card, and a painting of the city where he was born! We had barbecues, ate desserts, laughed a lot and had an amazing day!🙇‍♂️🎂🧑👧🧒👵👴

I felt a little nervous passing the drone over these forest paths because it was enough to brush against a branch to lose control and fall, however everything went well. These photos are all taken with the camera while the drone passed through the paths, whose fallen leaves They give that very spectacular effect! I really liked the "quinta da fonte" without a doubt if I had more opportunities I would return to film more things with the drone!🌄🙇‍♂️🌏

Senti un poco de nervio pasar el drone sobre estos caminos del bosque porque bastaba con rozar alguna rama para perder el control y caerse, sin embargo todo corrio bien estas fotos son todas tomadas con la camara mientras el drone pasaba por los caminos, cuyas hojas caidas dan ese efecto demasiado espectacular! me gusto mucho la "quinta da fonte" sin duda si tuviese mas oportunidades regresaria para filmar mas cosas con el drone! 🌻🚩🌼

I already had a whole plan ready to make recordings in the park, when I looked into the "Boa na voa" application, which is the app that tells me where I can pilot without permission, it marks that this entire area is only allowed up to 60m high, but I had The bad luck was that there was a lot of fog at the time I was scheduled to use the drone so I had to improvise, we should never fly the drone in adverse climates and fog is one of them so I have a lot of experience I won't do it and even less in a park where It puts children at risk, however what I did was make some films inside the park.🎂🌏🚩🧠

Ya tenia todo un plan listo para hacer grabaciones en el parque, cuando investigue en la aplicacion "Boa na voa" que es la app que me indica donde puedo pilotear sin permiso marca que toda esta area es permitida solo hasta 60m de altura, pero tuve la mala suerte que habia mucha neblina en la hora que tenia pautado usar al drone asi que me toco improvisar, nunca debemos pilotear el drone en climas adversos y la neblina es uno de ellos asi tenga mucha experiencia no lo hare y menos en un parque donde se pone en riesgo niños, sin embargo lo que hice fue hacer unos filmajes dentro del parque.🙇‍♂️🧭🎁

Hacer un cumpleaños en la naturaleza es algo que te ofrece muchas opciones en comparacion que una casa convencional, este parque tenia muchas alternativas para entretenerse en familia desde varios tipos de senderos pues tiene muchas hectareas de espacio hasta practicar deportes extremos como escalada, una muy buena alternativa para relajarnos y disfrutar de la naturaleza respirando aire limpio y mucho espacio para hacer juegos que haga de tu fiesta algo inolvidable! teniamos pensado hacer una parrillada para al almuerzo.🚩🌏🌷

le dije a mi esposa para llegar primero que todos al sitio para poder hacer el sendero que es muy corto apenas con 1.5km y asi recolectar fotos del paisaje y la propia naturaleza mediterranica que resalta a Portugal, apesar de ser corto vaya que es bastante salvaje el sitio tiene barro, arboles caidos por todos lados la camara municipal lo mantiene muy original, de verdad me diverti mucho en otra ocasion con sol podria hacer unos filmajes aereos del parque ya seria en verano porque en otoño e invierno casi siempre esta lleno de neblina el lugar.🌄👨‍🏫🎂

Hola amigos, les traigo este pequeño post donde les muestro una de las ciudades mas bonitas y romanticas de Portugal se trata de Mertola, la ciudad del "Dragon" y es llamada asi por su simbolo representativo de un dragon, mi esposa y yo decidimos darnos una escapada a algun lugar que estuviese cerca de Lisboa, que fuera economico y que tambien fuese bonito! diras... Un lugar asi existe? en realidad si existe en un dia y medio de hospedaje gastamos menos de 150 euros incluyendo comida y transporte!👨💖👩

Quisimos hacer una salida romantica pero no teniamos mucho tiempo para preparar algo por tanto entre tantas opciones decidimos que Mertola era una buena opcion porque hospedarnos aqui solo requeria unos 60-70 euros por noche puedes pagar 85 y ya te incluye la cena por lo que me parecio una opcion bastante viable, Mertola esta a poco mas de 120km de nuestra casa, es un viaje corto no muy cansativo ideal para pasar un fin de semana con tu pareja o familia! practicamente vamos a visitar a la zona alentejana que es el sur de portugal conocida por sus extensas tierras con caracteristica de llanura!🏰💖👨👩❤

Our reservation was made two days in advance, as we were in Autumn at that time of year there are not many tourists in the city so reserving a hotel here should not be a problem, however in summer you have to be more cautious because you might not find reservations, our hotel was called "Tia Amelia" its quality-price ratio is quite good, its main attraction? The view from the rooms is magical, you have a 180-degree view of the entire city including the castle, which is for me the most popular tourist area of Mertola along with the Guadiana River and its boat rides.🚩🏰🧭

Nuestra reserva se hizo con dos días de anticipación, como estabamos en Otoño a esa altura del año no hay muchos turistas en la ciudad por lo que reservar aqui un hotel no debe ser problema, sin embargo en verano tienes que ser mas cauteloso porque podrias no encontrar reservas, nuestro hotel se llamo "Tia Amelia" su relacion calidad-precio es bastante buena, su principal atractivo? la vista de los cuartos es magica, tienes una vision de 180grados a toda la ciudad incluyendo el castillo que es para mi la zona turistica mas demandada de Mertola junto con el rio Guadiana y sus paseos en bote.🌏💖🙇‍♂️






As I have to rate the room I would give it 4/5, some things inside are very old like the TV which is not smart, the toilet had a problem with the water but everything else was fine, the atmosphere was nice, the view quite splendid and At sunset it steals your breath! The bed and the location are quite good, just walk 2km and you are in the center of the city, and on the contrary, since you are on the other side of the Guadiana, it has a lot of peace and tranquility outside of tourists who are mostly Spanish! For 5euros you have access to a pool so it is a wonderful plus in the summer! the attention of the five-star owner, a Portuguese, well-disposed and very cordial!🧭🏰🚩

Como me toca puntuar la habitacion le daria 4/5, algunas cosas dentro son muy antiguas como la tv que no es smart, el toilet tenia un problema con el agua pero de resto todo fue bien, el ambiente bonito, la vista bastante esplendida y en el ocaso te roba el aliento! la cama y la ubicacion es bastante buena basta con caminar 2km y ya estas en el centro de la ciudad, y por el contrario como estas del otro lado del Guadiana tiene mucha paz y tranquilidad fuera de turistas que en su mayoria son Españoles! por 5euros tienes acceso a piscina por lo que es un plus maravilloso en el verano! la atencion del dueño cinco estrellas un Portugues bien dispuesto y muy cordial!🚙⛵😍

Since we paid for the room with dinner included, we had the option of choosing four types of dishes. Como pagamos la habitacion con la cena incluida, teniamos la opcion de escoger cuatro tipos de platos estuve muy indeciso pero acaber por pedir la especialidad de la casa un pulpo con una salsa de vinagre con miel y esparrago, mi esposa pidio el bacalao tambien con ensalada! wuao!!! sin palabras la comida estaba deliciosa, la atencion tambien muy buena el joven mesonero se gano su propina! la vista tambien es bonita con el castillo de fondo alumbrado.🥓🍔

Nunca habia visto en tan buen estado el mecanismo que se empleaba para abrir la enorme puerta de la entrada del castillo y aqui ves en la foto mas o menos como funcionaba era como un sistema de polea de madera, este mecanismo tiene mas de 600 años fue reforzado en el siglo 16 y hoy en dia es 100% original, en la otra foto puedes ver la muralla como pasa entre las casas!👀🚩

No consigo informacion sobre el acuaducto probablemente fue construido junto con la muralla por eso diria que pertenece mas a la era medieval que romanica, diria que del siglo XVI, estaba integrada a la muralla y suministraba agua a dentro de la ciudad, anteriormente no habian casas en las afueras del castillo solo aquellos que se dedicaban a la agricultura, cuando habia un aviso de guerra todos entraban dentro de las murallas y cerraban las puertas! las murallas fueron destruidas varias veces.🚩🧭

Apesar de la Mina no estar operativa a mas de 40 años nunca paso al olvido y por el contrario la camara municipal inviertio mucho dinero para convertirla en una joya turistica de la aldea, aun existen dos personas viviendo en la aldea que trabajaron casi toda su vida en las minas, fueron a ellos quienes se entrevistaron para saber cuales eran las condiciones de trabajo en una mina! entre tantas palabras lo que me sorprendio es que el señor dijo que todos sabemos que el sur de Portugal es caliente ahora imaginense estar en medio del sol por muchas horas en un suelo super caliente, el decia que practicamente trabajaban con poca ropa para tolerar el clima!🙇‍♂️🧭🚩

Es mi primera vez dentro del interior de Alentejo, que seria la zona sur de Portugal por encima de Algarve, alentejo tiene todo un repertorio de ecosistemas desde las playas alentejanas hasta la hermosa reserva natural de la Guadiana donde si tienes suerte puedes ver un lince salvaje, solo existen 200 especies de ellos sueltos en 66mil hectareas, ademas de venados y otros animales la reserva de Guadiana es una visita obligatoria si vienes al sur del pais. Parece edicion pero en realidad el paisaje aqui es asi muy rojo y la arena demasiada resbaladiza. 🧭🚙🌏🙇‍♂️

Alentejo no solo son planicies y siembra de vinos, tambien se descata por sus mas de 180 especies de aves que habitan en toda la reserva del Guadiana, no tuve la suerte de ver un Lince iberico pero si alcance muy a lo lejos venados que son dificiles de observar y cuya mejor hora de actividad son en las tardes, alentejo esta lleno de hectareas para uso de agricultura y agropecuaria, pero en una de las zonas mas calidas del pais quien diria que el rio Guadiana le confiere al paisaje una vista surreal casi sacada de una pelicula de ciencia ficcion! la mejor epoca para visitar la reserva es en otoño porque las calles son muy angostas y en verano es bastante complicado conducir en ellas!🚙🌄🚩
