My name is Kaylyn and I am an evolutionary biologist with a passion for all things avian. I’ve been an avid birdwater for the better part of a decade, but when I started, I had no idea what I was doing. I know first hand, just how hard it can be to learn to identify the amazing species we hear around us every day. That's why I created this series, tailored to the beginner birder.  Unlike some guides that only give you sounds and names, I Don't Know What the Flock I'm Doing teaches what to listen for, how to differentiate similar calls, and provides tips that will help you learn faster.
