The track at the end is by Chase, which is called “Takumi”. You can find his music on SoundCloud here: https://soundcloud.com/thechampton or follow him on Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheChampton

  • REPOST: 47 - Dustin Ragland
This episode is a repost of episode 47 with Dustin Ragland. It was originally posted on December 29th, 2016. Since then, I’m sure he and I have grown as people and musicians. I’d love to have him on again sometime. The reason I’m reposting this episode is because he has a show on Friday, July 19th at Commonplace Books at 6:30pm. He’s doing a live poetry reading and music inspired by Dostoevsky, which should tell you just how much of a genius Dustin is. I also have a show that evening at The Patriarch in Edmond, which starts at 8pm, so if you want to make it to both, you can. Anyways, here’s the text from the original:“Dustin Ragland is a musician, teacher, producer, father, and many other things. He's incredibly smart and I thoroughly enjoyed having him on the podcast. He's one of my favorite teachers at ACM (but I have too many favorites). You can find him and his work at www.youngweather.com”

  • Bit Depth 175 - Sample Rate 8 - Machinations: Graduate Composition Performance
This series of pieces is an anthology series exploring ideas in technology, humanity, and the future. Like Black Mirror but with music. These pieces were performed at my Graduate Composition Performance on April 11th, 2019 at the UCO Jazz Lab as part of the requirements of my Master of Music Composition degree. Due to the nature of how much work every music student is given each semester, some of the performances are not perfect, but I am happy with how well the show went. I highly recommend that you go to my website and watch the videos and look at the program notes with lyrics to really get the most out of the content. It was video recorded by J.R. Edwards and the audio was produced by Bryan Mitschell. The artwork was drawn by Nathan M. Kent and the Graphic Design for the poster and booklet was by Sable Ann.
The whole Machinations experience can be found on my website:
