  • 172 - Spirituality with Scott
I had more questions to ask Scott Booker about spirituality, and then we both talked about spirituality and the future of the music industry in Oklahoma. Scott is such a wonderful and honest person - I think that there’s no one else that could have created ACM@UCO and I’m so glad that the future of the Oklahoma music industry has a person like him to help make it a truly great place to make music. Listen to all the bands that Scott manages and check out ACM@UCO.

  • 169 - Elecktra and Jarvix

Elecktra Stanislava is a “polymath musician composer artist handywoman ordained minister witch amateur ornithologist enfj and working mom” according to her Instagram, and Evan Jarvicks, also known as Jarvix, is a ukulooptist and covers Oklahoma music with “Make Oklahoma Weirder”. We talked about music in Oklahoma, how they got started in music, and their opinions on music. I normally have two halves in the interview episode, but they’re brilliant folks so we had to make two separate interview episodes for both of them. Get to know them! You can find Elecktra’s stuff on their website or through Facebook You can find Evan’s Oklahoma music coverage at makeoklahomaweirder.com or his own stuff on jarvix.net

  • 168 - Music Union with Off Brand
Jack Martin and Mac Siegel from Off Brand are back and we’re here to complain about the Oklahoma City music scene and perhaps even hypothesize about what would make it better, even going so far as to suggest the logistics of a music union. This is all based on Mac’s hot take, and I certainly trust Mac and Jack’s expertise on this because I probably don’t know what the hell I’m talking about. Anyways, you should check out Off Brand and their new single: https://instagram.com/offbrandband/

  • 167 - Off Brand
Off Brand is a rock band in OKC, often describing themselves as the #worstbandinOKC, and I was happy to have Jack Martin and Mac Siegel from the band doing a double interview. This one gets dense, deep, and it’s pretty long. This conversation is notably different from their usual demeanor which is usually never serious, so I was glad to get a different side of them. You can find them on all the social media stuff, but I think their best stuff is probably through Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/offbrandband/

  • 164 - Don't Tell Dena
Don’t Tell Dena is a psychedelic rock band based in Oklahoma City. They’ve been hard at work on a new album/EP, and you can catch them all over the place playing awesome shows all over the state of Oklahoma. It was a super fun time and I’m happy to have caught up with them again. I used to play bass for them but now they’re even better without me! You can listen to their music anywhere you can stream or buy music or find all their stuff on their website: http://donttelldena.com/
