The conversation surrounding Caribbean history and the importance of preserving it has gained more attention over the past few years, especially as we unpack conversations around reparations and the lasting effects of slavery. But when it comes to a small island like Saba, with such a rich history, is it really true that people don't know their own history, or is the story more complex than that? ⛰️

In Episode 87, we're joined by artist, educator, historian, writer and poet Lysanne Charles for a deeper dive into Saban history, cultural identity and why history isn't always as fixed as we think.

What happens when the community we once knew is forced to change, or, as some might say, conform to new-school ideas around parenting and disciplining children?

In Episode 86, we start close to home with the viral video from Sint Maarten showing a police officer reprimanding a young boy. 🇸🇽 We unpack the reactions surrounding the video and ask a bigger question: how far is too far when it comes to reprimanding someone else’s child?

From there, things take a turn. 👀

We get into Ed Sheeran, his decision to remove Macklemore from his tour following pressure connected to Robert Kraft, and why his choice was cowardly.

That leads us into the Lindsey Chancy story and a much heavier conversation around accountability, punishment and what justice should look like when children are involved.

We also get into Ciara carrying baby number five, which leads us into our own views on having children in 2026 and whether the world we live in today has changed how we feel about becoming parents.
