Over the last ten years, his background has included working in sales, personal development coaching, and on political campaigns across the country. In 2014, he worked for FranklinCovey in their Event Marketing Department and has since worked with various business consulting groups and youth development centers.

 

Today he is venturing into the world of social entrepreneurship, speaking, podcasting, and book publishing—with his first book, Why Wait?! Developing the Courage to Start Your Entrepreneurial Journey, Pursue Your Dreams, & Live the Life You Desire to be released at the end of 2018.

Bobby has fixed all the technology issues in the World.

 

 

Bobby does the intro again.  This time introducing Ryan as, “Pickle”.

 

For those of you who have listened to the show forever.  Ryan used to go by Pickle.  He is merging the outside world calling him Ryan, and his inner world referring to him as Pickle.

Sky is excited about the promise of working out all the bugs.  That is a highly innovative technology, and there are always going to be bugs to work out in the introductory phases.  That is what she is studying about Education Technology.  We are all learning.

 

She is excited about the promise of the Biz4Good show and businesses doing good in the world.  In fact, she says her business is going to grow up to be an entrepreneur doing good in the world.  Maybe we’ll learn more in this coming season 2018.

 

Audience members is working well, so we want to invite folks in the future.

 

We are on Episode 50.  We are almost a legitimate podcast.  Have to have 100 shows to be “real”.

 

 

Sky, what do you think about the coming year?

 

She says she is excited for all the entrepreneurs who are benefitting greatly from the information shared on the show.  She is “into” the Butterfly Effect (Skylock Social Butterfly) and attests to the fact that the show has helped her business.  And, that is why she says this show helps raise consciousness.  Her goal for next year is to help people, by showing them how to perform successful social media campaigns.  Many don’t know how.  So her dissertation is leaning toward the “new” digital divide, where people need the knowledge and skill in how to use digital technology for their benefit.

 

Helping people crossing the digital divide, by knowing what buttons to press.

 

Thanks.  It’s helped Sky to help other people.  That’s what it’s all about.

Ryan cannot believe 2017 is alreay gone.

We got bands!  And, wonderful live music in the background.

 

Bobby said this is the inaugural New Years Eve celebration.

 

 

 

Haha!  Sky our producer is here tonight.  Yay!

Ryan says, we’re wrapping up our first year.  And, we have our wives here.

 

They are the wind beneath our wings.  –Bobby

 

They are the ones that put up with us.  – Ryan

 

Bobby tells the story of how the Biz4GoodShow got its start.  First 2 episodes were produced with their phones.  Now they have a whole studio with all kinds of fun toys…er, uh tools.

 

 

And now Ryan notices how patient the guests are.  Bobby agrees it’s a good idea for them each to introduce their own wife.  Ryan first:

 

Linda Pilkington from Idaho and Salt Lake.  Ryan’s wife.  Linda adds, “14 years of marriage”.  Lots of laughing!  Lots of fun!

 

Ryan says she is an amazing lady and he’s so glad she is here.  She does everything.  Made some amazing dips for the party.  We hear the band jamming.

 

 

Bobby is proud to report he hasn’t gotten completely stuffed (yet) on all the goodies.  And, asks Monique if she is proud of him.

 

He then introduces Monique Dawn James … the most powerful woman he knows, most spiritual woman (I can attest to that), and definitely the wind beneath Bobby’s wings.  Put up with Bobby for 21 years.  Wow! How’d you do that?

 

She says, “Every time”.  “That’s True”.

 

Sky points out that James Thompson is in the shot right behind Monique.  He will be on the #Biz4GoodShow on January 11th.  At this time they also pointed out the live music was being provided by The 88’s & Retrospect.

 

Bobby continues with the interview:

 

What has this year been like for our wives?  Like what kind of impact has the Biz4GoodShow had on their lives this year….

 

Linda, not Brenda.

 

She just loves the vibe of the show and the good things that come from it. Just a lot of great things happening.  Fun things to watch.  A little crazy with sharing just one car.  The day of the podcast, Ryan has to get up really early to take her to work.  Such Sacrifice!

It’s been great.  Love watching it grow, and seeing Ryan do more as an announcer.

 

Bobby appreciates that she really cares, gives input, and critiques the show.

 

 

Monique says, it hasn’t been that much different.  She doesn’t know what to say.  Cuz it’s completely crazy all the time!

Heart of Doing Good – Grow Your Heart Like the Grinch.

 

Hi this is Ryan Pilkington (like the way he said that)

 

He’s all alone…but, has a special guest who will join in.

Love it!!!!  It’s the Grinch.

 

A warm welcome to the Grinch.

 

He can hear himself.  Hello all the lovely people!  He is now calming down.  It says don’t tap the table…so what does he do?  Tapping Away.  He’s The Grinch.

 

High Five. Ryan and the Grinch used to hang out.  8th grade?  Something like that…

 

Special Guest is the Grinch who stole Christmas.

 

(but, I gave it back…no one ever remembers that)

 

Watch the end of the show!  My heart grew big.  I’m a totally reformed jerk.  I like to have fun.

 

He once was known for stink, stank & stunk.

 

Loves onions for deodorant…and loves trash in the house.

Keepin busy.  It’s Christmas.  Me & Santa are good friends now.  We do events and shows, and love to make kids happy.

 

Kids love the Grinch more than Santa.  He is funner.

She grew up, has a fam, and does good in the world.

Grinch Loves it….missing his co-host.  “Bobby’s a jerk”  a little crazy, but he’s alright.

In the mountains it’s really cold.  Ocean is Good.

 

 

Going into the holiday season.  The Grinch goes out and visits people.  Loving the kids, and the parents.

 

How does the Grinch have fun?

 

High Five…not really.  That’s his ‘bit’.  Gotta see it to believe it.  That’s one way to have fun.

 

I like just being with kids.  If it wasn’t for kids, Christmas would be boring.  He’s only been kicked in the shins a few times.  The kids usually love him.  And, the dogs.

 

Max did too….They talk.  He barks.  The Grinch talks.

 

The kids love it.  They are beautiful.

 

 

Breakfast with Santa at Garner Village this week before Christmas.  Crazy Fun December….this year instead of a couple of appearances, he’s made about 20.  Big Year.

 

 

Santa is a mysterious person.  When he laughs, you just want to eat cake.  Ho Ho Ho!  He’s a magical man.

 

A little discussion about reindeer.

 

This show is about businesses doing good in the world.

 

How do you business for good Mr. Grinch?

 

He knows what you get when you do bad. When you do bad, you get more bad things.  Cindy opened his eyes, and the second he realized that, his life became better.

 

He now sees things through those rose colored lenses.  He still love to get mischeivious, but believes now in doing good.  In changing hearts.

 

Doing good in this world is the most important thing you can do in this life.  #1

 

Haha…how many?  8…no.  9 or 10. No more fingers.

I think it means having an abundance mentality.  You said earlier how businesses have the scarcity mentality and are cut throat.  It’s not pleasant to work with people like that, in his business to mentor others he is focusing on the positive, and this has been his mission the past year.

Nicole has worked in special education for over a decade and saw that most students who have special needs or who are at-risk, don’t receive proper training, or don’t have the necessary supports to jump into adulthood. Travis Hysell is founder and board chair of The Legacy Initiative, a Utah grassroots non-profits that does outreach to Salt Lake City’s homeless. Formed in 2012, the organization includes seven unique teams made up of 700+ volunteers aimed at fighting hunger, providing humanitarian aid and educating people. The Humanitarian Services Team, for instance, renders services and direct aid to those experiencing homeless and their pets. The Red Team provides safety and community-watch services, while the “Causeplay” Team volunteers dress up in high end superhero and princess costumes to bring sunshine to kids suffering from homelessness, poverty and serious illness. The legacy in Hysell’s mind is “to remind the members of our communities how to look after those in need, and to get engaged in creating positive change at a local level. We want to inspire all people to be the change, and make a permanent, positive contribution to our community; to build a legacy we all can be proud of.”
