This week we are changing it up a bit to interview Jeannie, a former Penn State All-American boxer, muay thai fighter, and BJJ newbie. Jeannie takes us through her 10-year journey in fight sports, starting when she started boxing at Penn State as a way to deal with the trauma of the actions of an abusive ex-boyfriend, to today, where she has branched out into Muay Thai, and a little bit of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, at Six Blades in Denver. Join us as we discuss how it feels to try a new martial art with a boxing background, the different challenges of each art, and the commonalities of what it is like to be a woman in fight sports.
