Brett Emmons vocalist and songwriter in The Glorious Sons joined Big Kris for a one-on-one chat following an awesome performance for K-Rock Party Cruise the night before.  Brett shares his passsion for songwriting, and particularly simple three chord songs while Kris share his passion for Quinoa.   The talk about his brother Jay 'the rock' of the band and how The Glorious Sons was 'his vision' and put 15k on the line for the bands first EP.  Brett shares the story behind his first song 'Captain' which was written about his brother.  Is there ever performance anxiety over sharing freshly written songs via social media? and we learn exclusive information about *new music* coming from The Glorious Sons this fall!

Meet Hill and the Sky Heroes! Hill stopped by the Green Room on a promotional tour.. but where were the Sky Heroes? turns out it's a solo project with a clever name! She tells stories about playing music in bars at 14, talks about touring with Serena Ryder and some of her favourite collaborators.  Enjoy a live acoustic performance of the song 'The Flame' from the EP 'Dark Days'

College cast! a reuinion of former Algonquin College Ottawa radio graduates, Big Kris joined by musician and former radio host Eric St. Cyr discuss the problem with Canadian broadcasting regulations and the relationship with Canadian musicians.  Eric talks his Acadamy of music and the 'Cover Band Epidemic' that plagues so many music scenes plus recount an unforgetable moment in the halls of campus radio station CKDJ.

Emily Fennell joined the podcast for some laughs about the time she and Big Kris broke up while on a honeymoon in Jamaica, sort of.  We chat about her new married life, raising a daughter in a community of musicians, crowdsourcing her previous album and what's in store for the next one.  Did you know she shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen and Willie Nile? she recounts the experience as well as a more detailed account of her almost signing with Gene Simmons record label.

Actor/Comedian Eric Johnston joined the podcast while in Kingston for 'Hero fest' (basically a comic-con).  He talks about his character 'Vane' on the YTV show Splatalot, the hockey tournament booked in the same hotel room as most of the Hero fest fans, His work in Stand-Up comedy in Hamilton and the success of 'Comedy in the Creek' oh, and his girlfriend might be pregnant.
