Josh is a veteran guitarist who played in bands actively from late 80s throughout early 90s. Playing alongside the likes of Sublime, Fishbone, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and No Doubt. But since then he has been a professionally experienced audio engineer, co-produced emmy-award winning film compositions, and professor of audio recording at CSUDH.
In this interview Josh talks about why he loves re-record mixing and writing scores. Josh tells a hilarious story where he almost ended up "killing" Val Kilmer, calling Taylor Hawkins of Foo-Fighters a sell-out before he blew up, the amazing experience engineering a Herbie Hancock, meeting Angela Davis, a funny experience of an album being titled after him, the shadiness of music industry, how hard rock is gone from the public consciousness, performing at a Jeff Buckley tribute, but more importantly why vacationing with his wife is fun and helps him stay young!
