Stephanie Myers, author of "Invisible  Queen" shares some of the hidden history surrounding the African ancestry in Britain.  You'll learn about the life of Queen Sophia as abolitionist, wife of 21 children, botanist, and many other accomplishments. 

The Story of Juneteenth:  Celebrating the End of Slavery in the United States by  Alliyah Agostini is a beautifully illustrated children's book.  Afriware Books owner Nzingha Nommo had a lively conversation with Ms. Agostini about the inspiration for her book and how she started embracing her calling as a writer.  Since she was raised in Bufallo, NY, she also mentioned how the community was impacted by the recent gun violence at the grocery store she remembered frequenting as a child.
