Southside Miko is one the HARDEST Artist/Producers in the World. The 23 year old young legend out of Browns Summit, North Carolina is on his way to becoming the next United States international icon. Since a child , his soul purpose has been to enlighten the world with entertainment that people can truly feel not just see and or hear. In 2012 , after giving up his 1st love of dancing , he began seriously rapping and producing, pushing himself to the point of literal exhaustion working to become the best he could be in hopes of becoming incomparable to anyone around him. This led to him to making it onto the Pounds of Sound Magazine for the Top 15 Artists in North Carolina in 2017 . Bio: KUB, an independent Western Pennsylvania native artist balances a variety of styles within Hip Hop. Beginning in late 2017 at the age of 17 KUB began making music alongside high school classmates in a basement on garage band up until late 2019 he began recording at 200k studios Pittsburgh PA. KUB has since released one full length studio project and works towards his second coming in late 2022. KUB, utilizes a short and catchy rhyme scheme, melody, as well as lyricism to tell his stories and express emotion through his music.

Schaefer Mueller was born and raised in Chesterfield, Virginia. He attended Old Dominion University where he left just 30 credits shy of a Civil Engineering degree to serve the United States Army. Schaefer deployed with the 4th brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division to Afghanistan in 2017. After returning and leaving the Army he traveled the states playing across the country for state senators, governors and even opened for Granger Smith during his USO tour. 

Schaefer currently resides in Haughton, Louisiana where he is focusing on medical school, recording his music, and making a name for himself throughout the northern Louisiana area. He has several self recorded songs as well as some newly released professional Texas recorded songs which can be found on all musical platforms.

Zac Lassen is a self-taught oil painter born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri.

After attending Webster University, he started his career in motion and graphic

design. His paintings draw inspiration from life, as well as imagined, scenes of

alternate realities. He favors using impressionistic methods of painting and

capturing moments of people in their own worlds, questioning their realities. He has shown in galleries across the Midwest through Kansas City, Nashville, and Saint Louis and was the Co-Curator of a pop-up gallery installed in the Arcade Apartment Lofts.

Soaring over thousands every night as Disney’s Tarzan, Scott Mulligan made a major rise within the Broadway world as one of Disney’s most notable leading men. The notoriety of this role quickly lead Scott to gain extensive press throughout the Country which transitioned him into working with some of the most prominent figures in the music industry. From there, the multi-talented singer-songwriter, actor and model started working with Jamie Foxx’s music producer Sam Harmonix aka Sam Pounds. Sam and Scott worked together to create a new sound blending pop, rock, and urban music together.

     Born in a small suburb outside Seattle, Wa, Scott got involved in music and acting at a young age. He was always the star of his church and high school musicals and at the age of 14, he formed his own rock band inspired by his home-town influences like Nirvana and the Foo Fighters.  Mastering his craft as a singer-songwriter, actor, and multi-instrumentalist (guitar and piano), Scott graduated from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music where he received his B.F.A. in music and theatre. Since his transition from theatre into music, Scott is now based in Los Angeles, Ca. Upon moving to Los Angeles, Scott has landed a residency at one of LA’s newest and largest music venues named Mainro where he performs songs ranging from classic standards to today’s pop hits. Scott is also a professional bodybuilder and model signed to BMG models.

     As a versatile and charismatic artist, not only does Scott have the seamless ability to switch between theatre, pop, and rock, but the mixture of his unique vocal textures, range and tones is a journey for any music lover. When listening to Scott’s voice, you will hear undertones of that Broadway sweetness mixed with hints of 80’s rock, 90’s grit and today’s pop. Born and raised in Houston, TX, Unique was exposed to a melting pot of culture and music. The arts are a huge part of the culture in Houston and it was inevitable for her to embrace her inner artist.

The diversity of her upbringing is heavily influenced in her music. Being of Latino decent, she was greatly influenced by the likes of Selena, Linda Ronstadt, Michael Salgado, and Little Joe Y La Familia, amongst others. Falling in love with the country-like sound of Tejano music, she began listening to American Country artist like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline, LeAnn Rimes, and more. All of these legends of Country and Latin music can be felt and heard in her original music; Latino Country, if you will.

With a voice that cuts like a razor she brings a little spice to country music like a jalapeño does for a margarita!

John Minch was born in Euclid, Ohio, USA. He is an actor, known for Little Big League (1994), Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (2016) and The Sum of One (2003). Most recently, he was featured in the hit series, “Love Victor.” He shares in this episode his love for family, acting, and his zeal for life. We are honored to have such a world class actor as a guest on “Black Canvas.”

Joe Corzo moved to Los Angeles from the Bay Area in 2017 as many of his predecessors before him to continue furthering his journey of becoming a working professional entertainer in the industry. If stand-up comedy wasn’t enough, he’s currently expanding his attributes as an actor which is a dream come true for himself. Proving that once again no matter how far-fetched a dream may be, it is all about continuing to put in the work to refine one’s craft as well as oneself. With strong faith, work ethic & support system of family, friends & fans he is well on his way of becoming an established member of the entertainment industry he whole-heartedly loves.

He has performed as a host, opener & feature for multiple national headliners such as Tommy Davidson, Sinbad, Bobby Collins, John Whitherspoon, Rex Navarett to name a few, building a name for himself as a rising star in the Northern California stand-up scene. As well as a producer of his own comedy showcase called JOEtime Comedy Presents that features talent from all over. Not to mention winning first place at The One Mic Comedy Competition in 2014. He also performs in numerous showcases at many well-known establishments with his stage presence, high energy, witty personality, comedic timing, situational humor, clever word play, hilarious analogies, & much more.

This episodes musical guest is based out of Chicago, Illinois. His name is Cole Brandt. He specializes in jazz, rock and electronic dance music. Dru Cutler is a working part of the Brooklyn music scene. He is the co-founder of Unit J, a Bushwick music space which has hosted hundreds of shows and was nominated for “Best Live Music Venue” on Brokelyn.com.

The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist graduated on to work with Grammy-award winning producers Dave McNair (Bob Dylan, David Bowie), Scott Lehrer (Philip Glass, Rufus Wainwright), and Andy Taub (Norah Jones, Ani DeFranco).

Recently, Cutler was tapped to organize an eight piece ensemble for the Brooklyn Museum’s “Night of 1,000 Bowies”. The momentum from the sold-out show inspired a torrent of new music, and a tour from Boston, MA to Austin, TX’s South by Southwest. We are grateful to have him as a guest on “Black Canvas.”
