annalise fonza, Ph.D., is a former United Methodist Church clergywoman. As a pastor under Episcopal appointment, she formerly served six congregations in three different states. In her personal and professional life, annalise is also a womanist. Her research and writing interests are in U.S. planning history and theory; community and economic development, particularly as it concerns non-white communities; and black women's activism.
