A look at Robert Zemeckis' career takes us on a journey through technology in movies that enhances our own world rather than create new ones. It's fascinating and his ability to go between genres and styles is second to none.

We talk about 2006's Man of the Year, a political satire where a comedian KIND OF becomes president, at least for a little while.
The movie falls flat but brings up some interesting thoughts about the state of media in 2006 and how this movie's noticeable lack of any diversity echoes a change in the media landscape of that time with regards to Black representation. A period of time that I call 'The Crossover Era'. It's been bleak ever since!

Using the Fandango app, I am viewing a local AMC theater. By using a major theater chain I can see what movies are going to be seen by the most people.
Are there any Black movies in theaters? Any Mexican movies? Any Asian movies? Native movies? If not, then they must be white movies!

Despite this it made a billion dollars, fam. Easily! Why?!
We look at the appeal of the film, the leap in technology required to make the film and how writing it for a younger audience definitely PAID off.
