Anyika is a hugely successful athlete, she made her Olympic debut at London 2012, competing in the 100m and 200m and in 2015 won 4x400m relay bronze at the World Championships in Beijing, before adding European 4x400m relay gold and 400m bronze to her collection the following year. Her brother Emeka is a writer, journalist and lecturer on issues of racism and ethnicity in sport and author of Pitch Black: The History of Black British Footballers.
