This week I want to share a story of a cop now in jail for tasing a guy in Detroit.  It’s tough to be a police (Anything) these days.  No respect, no love, no chance to excel at your job in the current culture.  Damned by most.  I am hoping you’re different.  I am hoping you understand how the system works and will listen to the story of a guy named Mark Bressner.  

He isn’t alone.  Sometimes it’s worse than jail.

A Baltimore Police officer who was shot while sitting in her patrol car Christmas Eve has died , according to the Baltimore Police Department.

An off-duty New York City Police Department officer was shot in the head while sleeping in his car on New Year's Day.

I was watching the Matrix for like the 47th time and remembered all the themes this one movie had.  Remember the Matrix?  The original one, not that configuration of old overly done brain saturated efx.

One of the themes was that you have to make your own choices in this world or you are in the matrix - free your mind

What is the Best Gun for A Woman?

 

Happy New Year. 

This episode is to make you think.  

• What is the best gun for a woman/female?
• Fascism 
• First Amendment
• Beware of the mob mentality/ group think.

I got off topic a little talking about the PC terms of woman or female.  It does relate though to the topic.  I am not trying to offend or trigger you, if this is a touch point but I want to be honest with who I am.  

I remember the days when firearms instructors would tell women what type of firearms they thought best. These guys would not do well In todays gun culture.  It was the culture to be sexist, homophobic, and/or racist.   While I am getting my self in all kinds of trouble let me say this unapologetically that I tip my hat, applaud and appreciate all the women, Gay, Lesbian and Trans friends that are around my age plus or minus 20 years that are in the gun movement.  You have managed to get proficient and survive in a culture I didn’t realize was as bad as it was.  As a person of color, a black guy, negro, afro American, African American, black not Hispanic - I dealt with color and race issues.  I can’t fathom adding that to gender equality and sexual preference too.  Some times, my background, and the legacy of those instructors and living creep into my verbiage.  I apologize in advance.

So what is the best handgun for a female?  The one she owns and learns how to use the best.

As gun rights activist and people of varying groups, I want you to think about why you do things.  I want you to think about the word fascism, group think, herd mentality and how it relates to politics and social media today.

Rebranding the show.  This is episode 1.  

 

Talking this week about my grandmother, celebratory gunfire (don’t do it) and Watch Night service in the African American tradition.  

 

 

After 14 years of podcasting this show, I didn’t want it to “podfade” just because I am going through a tough time.  I decided with the support of some of you to “do me” which was my suggestion of changing the show, cancelling some of the others I have and combining them into this one the flag ship podcast.  I will always be the Black Man With A Gun (trademarked), and still be pro-gun.  I am no longer alone in the universe though.  There are a bunch of young guns that never even heard of me spouting stuff on social media.  It’s ok.  I had my turn.  Now I seek to continue to motivate, inspire, support and encourage you.  I want this to remain a fun pro-gun variety show like no other.  With your help we will.  

 

The biggest mistake most people will make is believing they have TIME!
