In my first coverage talking about Attack on Titan, I bring my wife into the conversation @deekaaybright who recently started watching anime with me. Together, we discuss, with my cohost Jordan, the emotional fallout and implications between Gabi, Sasha, Nicolo, and Kaya. Exploring the idea of forgiveness through religion. And apply it's principles in real life situations, through Nicolo's love for Sasha, that sent him momentarily down a dark path to avenge the Eldian woman he loved.

The recently concluded trial of Amber Heard v Johnny Depp, hit close to my heart as I am a man who has been in a former victim of IPV (Intimate Partner Violence), and someone who was falsely accused intention. I felt it was important tie tie trial to the story of Naofumi Iwatani, the MC of Rising of the Shield Hero, as he was also intentionally falsely accused by the main antagonist of the series Malty S Melromarc. Hyushi-sama, Jordan, and myself recount or experiences of either being taken advantage of or abuse, and tie these experiences to those of Johnny Depp, and Naofumi. As we feel there needs to be greater awareness to men who have either been falsely mistreated during the heights of the #MeToo movement, and men who have been victims of abuse in heteronormative relationships.

This was my most important episode thus far, as I delve into many of my experiences with women, including family members, over the course of my life. In addition, my own observations about men and society, and how we see women in society. I Hope you all enjoy this episode.

In this episode we discuss the anime Platinum End, more so the first half of the series covering Mirai and Mukaido's battle against Metropoliman (Uryu Kanade). We focus specifically on Mirai's constant pursuit of happiness, that his family encouraged him to take on, and how that gradually shifted over the length of the series. Especially once he came into conflict with Metropoliman/Uryu's willingness the put others in jeopardy for the sake of his goals to become God. We tie the conversation to our needs as men to find what is important to us in life, how we define happiness, as well as how we derive happiness from the things we do in life, and our struggles with depression in this episode. Hopefully you enjoy the conversation as much as we did.

In this episode I have guests, and very close friends, discuss the implications in seeking out external validation. In the case of the Devil May Cry franchise, that would be Vergil's lust for power, and constantly needing to prove he is stronger than Dante. Which isn't that different from people's needs for more likes/clicks on social media, the need for more money, and gaining social status. I talk about my own story on my need for validation, and needing to prove myself to others, and how I relate to Vergil' struggles to prove himself. EPISODE CREDITS:

We've all had shows that had a profound impact on us, especially in this space of nerd culture. Be it a video game franchise, a phenomenal comic book run, or an amazing comic book movie.... This week my guest Jordan and I talk about our shared experience on the Code Geass franchise and how it had a profound impact on how we saw the world around us, and the realm of politics.

Code Geass is often sited as a show steeped in betrayal, something both Jordan and I have experienced in our lives, and how we overcame it, that made us connect with Lelouch. We also get into various debates regarding characters motivations in the show, as well how Code Geass way of tackling current world issues is still relevant. Hope you enjoy this, fellow nerds! In this episode I have a resident expert on the Star Wars Lore and Mythos, sit down with me as we discuss the latest game entry into the Star Wars universe; Star Wars Fallen Order. While I am not a huge Star Wars fan, I greatly enjoyed the game and the personal story it told of Cal Kestis, the main character of the game, and him living to through Order 66. More so, Cal facing his inner demons and pains of carrying the burden of watching his master and mentor figure die in front of him.

We often blame ourselves for things out of our control, especially when we are young and impressionable, Cal's story is very much that. We also go into how these very same traumas are also seen in the story of Darth Vader. EPISODE CREDITS:
