Welcome to episode #251 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we are just on the cusp of the CDL beginning, and we got another taste of the competition leading into this season with the Kaysan LAN Showdown with the top teams. Though only the top 4 teams were invited, it was a good showcase of where each team stands right before the start of the professional season. We give our early predictions on the top teams for major 1, and also some updates that may be impacting the CDL map pool. With some fan-favorite maps returning in season 1, along with new weapons and buffs/nerfs to weapons, we have a lot to unpack for the beginning of the year on a competitive and casual level. Finally, we end with some news that Nintendo is getting into the Call of Duty market, and will be supporting COD within the next couple years.
Which teams from the top 4 to you think are going to be the frontrunners going into the start of the year? What are your first impressions of the season 1 roadmap? Are you looking forward to the new maps and guns coming, or is it more of the same? Finally, what do you think about Nintendo supporting Call of Duty? Do you think it’ll be successful, or even run well on the Switch/Switch 2? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.
