  • The Walt Disney Omen (Dead Man’s Chest Minute 1)
NO MORE LIES! We are making belated good on our promise to launch season 2 and our official breakdown of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest – a ludicrous over analysis of the film one blimey minute at a time. Join us for the debut episode of the 2nd film in the multi-billion-dollar Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise as we discuss Walt Disney Pictures’ modern fully-animated logo that includes Pinocchio’s “When you Wish Upon a Star” song, the 8th logo in the company’s history, the logo’s hidden Magic Kingdom and Peter Pan references, a potential nefarious connection to Armageddon and the mark of the beast, the link to one of the world’s largest insects, the joining of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, and we finally get to the 13 seconds of the actual movie included in this minute with a discussion of Scott’s likes of the Pirates of the Caribbean title, and the setting up of a movie with a dark tone. Plus, Heather drops the ball on the first Pirate Word of the Week segment for season 2.

  • Let’s Go Sinning – The Pirates of the Caribbean Rides (Bonus Episode 5)
As all pirates know, there’s a time and a place for sinning. And it just so happens those places are the world-famous Disneyland theme parks – home of the various incarnations of the Pirates of the Caribbean dark rides, the seven deadly sins, and unadulterated pirate action. In this swollen episode we discuss the Pirates of the Caribbean rides spanning Disneyland, Florida’s Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Park Paris, and Shanghai Disneyland. We tackle the dark ride genre and the Pretzel Amusement Ride Company, proclaim our love for the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride while swooning over the technologically advanced ride in the Shanghai theme park, wonder if the ride is all just a dying pirate’s dream, imagine what an adult-themed Pirates of the Caribbean ride would be like, explore the de-sexualization of the famous pirate ride, sail some attraction facts, and Scott the ride purist takes some much-needed time to rant. Join us for this extended episode as we lead up to our daily, minute by minute breakdown of Dead Man’s Chest.
