  • The C.O.W.S. Ernest Tidyman’s SHAFT Part 1
    Thursday, October 7th 8:00PM Eastern/ 5:00PM Pacific
The Context of White Supremacy hosts the debut study session on Ernest Tidyman's 1970 novel, SHAFT. Tidyman is a White man. He forged a distinguished journalism career working for The New York Times and Ohio's The Plain Dealer. In the midst of the so called Civil Rights Movement and the unrest of the 1960's, Tidyman decided to concoct a narrative around a black private detective named John SHAFT. This relatively short book sparked a half century of trashy films and mightily influenced the thoughts, speech, action, emotions, and wardrobe of generations of black people. Most of these victims are clueless that there favorite black action hero is the creation of a White man. Gus is excited to closely scrutinize a work that depicts SHAFT as a "bi-sexual" Vietnam veteran out to stick it to "The Man." The film adaptation of Tidyman's work is also a spectacular illustration of Racial Showcasing. The director was Gordan Parks, Richard Roundtree starred in the film, and Isaac Hayes' legendary soundtrack remains beloved and recognized a half century later. Hayes owns an Academy Award for his contributions to SHAFT. This franchise of films, along with the late Melvin Van Peebles, is credited with introducing the era of "Blaxploitation" films - cheaply made movies, bloated with crime and gratuitous sexual content, featuring mostly black characters. The fictional John SHAFT remains a beloved by numerous black people well into the 21st century.

  • Conversation Reparations – How Should Reparations be Used for Education?
Many Descendants of Afrikans enslaved in the US agree that education is a fundamental part of any reparations demand. We will explore why education is so important to reparations and specific ways education can be addressed thru reparations.

Special Guest - Yaa Asantewaa Nzingha is an award-winning activist, lecturer, educator, and actress. She is a contributing author to the Essence Magazine Bestseller, Should America Pay? Slavery and the Raging Debate on Reparations and The Osiris Papers. Yaa Asantewaa is widely known for using her teaching and theater experience to raise academics, self-esteem, and consciousness in Black youth. She also received the prestigious Audelco Lead Actress Award.

Yaa Asantewaa is the recipient of numerous awards from community and national organizations for her activist work and instructional techniques. In June of 2019, the State of New York presented her with a Proclamation acknowledging her Outstanding Educational Leadership.

She is a graduate of Central State University and studied at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and Columbia University. After graduating, she began teaching and counseling urban students. She was affected and drawn to those whom many call “troubled youth”.   Her impact on her students was profound. Raising their test scores and self-esteem to record highs led to her appointment as a professor at Medgar Evers College where she taught, trained, and counseled educators on how to effectively teach Black youth.

Presently, Yaa Asantewaa Nzingha’s attention is focused on working for the release of US-held political prisoners, many of who have been incarcerated for over 30/40 years for fighting for the liberation of Black people. She also actively works to seek reparations for Black people who have suffered injustices and injuries in America.

  • Abolition Today – What is Genocide in International Law?
The US is brazenly throwing accusations of crimes against humanity at other nations. Slavery, forced labor, systemic oppression, and genocide. Like we did with the legal definition of Slavery, we'll examine the international definition of genocide and how it applies to descendants of the African Diaspora today. We're putting the United States of Genocide on full display.

Of course, we've got the news, updates on the Abolition movement, and awesome music/poetry to move your soul. And as always, we bring the ancestor's words to life for a new generation in our Bridging The Gap segment.

  • The C.O.W.S. Compensatory Call-In 10/02/21
    Saturday, October 2nd 9:00PM Eastern/ 6:00PM Pacific

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.

The self-proclaimed "pied piper of R&B" R. Kelly was found guilty on charges of racketeering, sexual exploitation of a child and other lurid sex crimes. He scheduled for sentencing in May of this year, and numerous legal experts suspect Kelly, 54, will die in greater confinement. As opposed to connecting this case to Simone Biles's abuse at the hands of Larry Nassar, the defunct Boy Scouts of America, or the countless other examples of children being de-valued and sexually exploited, this case was generally isolated as a "victory" for black "girls and women," and/or an example of the disregard for black females. When not bashing R. Kelly, mainstream news outlets paused briefly to excoriate a small number of black male NBA players who've hesitated to receive vaccinations. A number of black people have been employed to join in ridiculing - sometimes name-calling - black people for their medical choices.

Mind, Judges various experiences faced at every moment. In World Produced out of combination of Dense and Subtle Energy and Various States of Consciousness, it is necessary to have an Instrument that Discern and Discriminate between good, evil, hot, cold, here, there, etc, to carry on affairs of Life. This Process of discrimination is what cause appearance of distinct and different objects and situations.
Process of Discrimination is a dualizing Process where out of the One Reality. Energy, there appears to be "many realities". From this standpoint of apparent duality, the idea arises that we are Separate 'thinking"Individuals and We are also Separate from the Universe.
