The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 9th and final study session on Woody Allen's Apropos of Nothing. One of the most critically revered movie-makers of all time, Woody Allen is a New York City and entertainment icon. In addition to his flicks, he's an acclaimed comedian, a concert-playing musician, and bestselling author - Apropos of Nothing being his most recent text. Published in 2020, the autobiography recounts his life, entertainment career, and "romance" with Soon-Yi Previn. In addition to being non-white, adopted/abducted from Korea, Previn is thirty-five years younger than Allen. Despite a damning Child Protective Services investigation and years of allegations of child rape and sexual abuse of children, Allen remains beloved my hoards of Whites. We'll examine this work for what it reveals about White culture. During our last reading, Allen details how he and Soon-Yi sneaked out of the country to be "secretly" married. He ladles contempt on White "liberals," like Gloria Steinem and Murray Kempton who covered the court proceedings in the 1990's. Allen declares they "had it in for him," and wouldn't even consider that he was the victim of a "possible miscarriage of justice." In spite of this, Allen acknowledges officers accorded him substantially more courtesy than the typical treatment of black male criminal suspects. Allen's narcissism and egoism drip from each sentence. He describes weeping fathers who're struggling with divorce and limited visitation with their children. They seek out Allen for sympathy or perhaps a teaspoon of Hollywood privilege to help their case. Allen sees no commonality around fatherhood with these New York dads. It's back to his flicks and hot White girls, like Maureen O'Sullivan - who starred in Tarzan.

Many around the world were stunned by images of Haitian immigrants being whipped by a White border patrol agent riding horseback. The macabre picture hearkened back to formal plantation days, when White slavers hogtied and lassoed recalcitrant black people at will. While black refugees were corralled, U.S. sympathy was trained on missing young White Woman. The "missing White woman" syndrome received substantial criticism, as scores of black males and females go missing with little to no alarm. Noted filmmaker and Victim of White Supremacy, Melvin Van Peebles died this week at the age of 89. His films directly addressed the System of White Supremacy, and his son Mario continued the tradition.

One listeners asked for assistance in dealing with a White supervisor who continues insist that the team go out for lunch. This astute Victim of Racism is not interested in risking her health to have a public meal with folks who might not be taking the pandemic seriously. We'll use logic to recommend ways of avoiding unsafe environments. We'll continue ask how the virus and vaccine pressure is altering our work environment, and how best to manage the ever-changing conditions.

This broadcast is intended to encourage participation from non-white people in different parts of the world and Victims of Racism who are not able to join during the normal broadcast time. The global nature of White Supremacy was flagrantly displayed this week as the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia formed a security alliance to counter the threat of China. We'll discuss the implications of this international White alliance and how this coalition is being discussed in other parts of the world. We'll make our mandatory monthly check-in on how the Covid-19 confusion. Whites in Canada, New York City and Australia engaged in rowdy protests in opposition to vaccine mandates or "passports." Prime Minister Johnson announced this week that there will be no vaccine passports in Britain.

Olympic legend Simone Biles, testified before Congress about the sexual molestation she experienced from USA Women's National Gymnastics Team doctor and convicted sexual predator Larry Nassar. Biles blamed "the entire system that enabled" Nassar's sexual terrorism. Speaking of enabled, Washington D.C. prepares for a tense week of White protests as militant thousands are expected to demonstrate their support for the January 6th terrorists. Ironically, most of the folks who joined the criminal fracas earlier this year have not been prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law.
