On this weeks episode of BlackLantic we take time to reflect over the amazing weekend we had at MusicNB networking and creating content. We also discuss the abhorrent murder of Leonard Cure in Georgia as well as discuss the current Gaza/Israel conflict to the best of our abilities. Don't forget to like, comment, rate, review and donate if you support the mission!
On this weeks episode we are sharing a LIVE talk we gave at the Moncton Public Library. While we are not historians, we are so thrilled to be given these opportunities to speak about the history of Black people in New Brunswick and the attrocities they have faced through the years. Thank you as always to Meredith Batt from the Provincial Archives for helping us collect files and data, the Book "Blacks in New Brunswick" by W.A. Spray, the NB Black History Society, and the many websites that have written on the subject, and to all who attended!
On our second episode of season 3 we sit with Nancy Lemi, Mike Regis and Agapi Gessesse. Nancy and Mike participated in CEE Centre for Young Black Professional’s programs of which Agapi is the Executive Director. Clinton and Hillary learn more about the work CEE is doing, how it has propelled Mike and Nancy’s entrepreneurship and their ‘Who I Really Am’ campaign which Hillary has seen all over Toronto. Make sure to like, comment, subscribe, donate, and check out ceecentre.org
We are BACK with season 3 of BlackLantic and starting off with an issue that affected a lot of our peers over the summer, a bill in the works by the Canadian government that has caused Meta and Google to block Canadian media on their platforms. We discuss who this is affecting, the censorship that is occuring and what we can try to do to help.

We are thrilled to be wrapping up our second season with Normand Hector, the only current Black Drag Queen in New Brunswick who performs as Normani! More than a drag queen, Norman uses his platform to teach people about respect and has partnered with Hockey New Brunswick, Hockey Canada and other organizations to share his story.
