Following on from last week's show, Jude gives his thoughts on the Solo trailer and TV spot. George Lucas has supposedly guest-directed a scene which takes place aboard the Millenium Falcon, listen to our recreation of how that went down. We also discuss the news that Lucas is returning to helm the upcoming Obi Wan Kenobi spin off film - and hope these rumours aren't true! Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been nominated for four academy awards at this years Oscars, but does it really stand a chance against the other nominees; find out here. Lastly, we go a little bit of topic by talking about dreams, sleep walking and talking and a hypothetical scenario in which you have to choose your own space mission crew. The first footage from the long-awaited Solo film has dropped. On Sunday, Lucasfilm released a 45 second TV spot, followed by a 90 second teaser trailer the following day. John and Raj deconstruct the trailers and examine photos from the upcoming spin off, published in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. We also discuss the news that Game of Thrones producers David Benioff and DB Weiss have been commissioned to produce another trilogy of Star Wars films and the implications of what this means for the ever-expanding franchise. Finally, we wrap up the show by discussing the work of poster artist Drew Struzan.

In 1978 George Lucas hired legendary screenwriter Leigh Brackett (Rio Bravo, The Long Goodbye, El Dorado) to proudce the screenplay for his Star Wars sequel: The Empire Strikes Back. George wasn't happy with her treatment and rewrote the script himself before eventually hiring Lawrence Kasdan to help finish the screenplay. In this special episode of Blah Wars, John and Jude read through a summary of the first and second drafts of the Empire script and discover some funny parallels between Brackett's first attempt and The Last Jedi. We had so much fun recording this episode - doing the voices and overlaying the episode with music to hopefully paint a picture of how the film might have played out.

For our the next installment in our commentary series, we're watching Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and for this episode, John and Jude are joined by 'Little' Raj Rajendran. As far as spin offs go, we're all pretty agreed on this film being much better than anyone anticipated, despite being troubled with last-minute rewrites and reshoots. We'd all love to know a little bit more about the film we never got; Gareth Edwards' original cut. Sadly, we don't think they'll ever let us see it...
