We all want to know we’re right with God. But Paul says in Galatians 2 that if we try to measure up by our own goodness, we’re stepping on a broken scale—it’ll never tell us the truth. In this message, we look at what it really means to be justified by faith in Christ, not by works of the law, and how that changes our identity, our obedience, and our freedom.
In this message from Galatians 1:11–24, we look at Paul’s story of transformation by God’s grace. Once zealous for religion and rules, Paul discovered the Gospel that comes directly from Christ—not from man. His life reminds us that true freedom isn’t found in effort or tradition, but in the grace of God that transforms lives and points all glory back to Him.
In the early church at Galatia (modern-day Turkey), some were distorting the Gospel by adding extra rules and conditions that God never intended. In this message, we see the Apostle Paul fighting for the Galatian believers to remember that true freedom is found in Christ alone. The Gospel they had already received from Paul and the other apostles was and still is the only true Gospel. We do not need anything added; we simply need Christ and His teaching.
The Gospel isn’t just good news for the us... it’s good news for everyONE. In this message, we look at how Jesus brings real freedom to our lives, and how that freedom isn’t meant to be kept to ourselves. Through stories, found in the Bible and in the world today, we’re reminded that Christ came to rescue the one. And now calls us to share that same freedom with others.
Our calling as followers of Christ is simple: Get the word out. The Gospel. But often we forget that calling and we can even overcomplicate or oversimplify the Gospel. In this message, Donovan reminds us that we should never forget our mission or the message we bring. The Gospel is The GOOD NEWS that needs to be shared. Let us never forget that calling!
The Church, as described in the New Testament, was more than just a gathering of people. It was a community united for a revolutionary cause. They were not successful because of the efforts of any individual, but because of their dedication to Christ and His people. In this message, we look at the importance of the Church and how we can use it to change the world.
Genuinely following Jesus isn't a cake walk. Thankfully, Jesus doesn't call us to a following Him without equipping us with the tools necessary for the journey. The main tool, or gift, is The Spirit! In this message, we talk about The Spirit and how He can help us fulfill our calling of following Jesus and making Him known to the world around us.
Following Christ comes with a significant cost. We’re called to take up our cross daily, living with devotion and intention, not perfection. This week’s message explores the importance of truly counting the cost before committing to Christ, and what it means to live with purpose as we follow Him.
We’ve all had our Jonah moments... running from God and His calling. This week, Donovan uses the story of Jonah and the truth of Psalm 139 to remind us: you can run from your calling, but you can’t outrun God. And here’s the good news: YOU DON'T NEED TO. His presence isn’t a place to fear… it’s where you’ll finally find rest!
In this week’s message, Donovan reminds us that like young Samuel, we need to learn how to hear and recognize God’s voice in a noisy world.
