In this episode…New patients are the lifeblood of a company; therefore, every dentist wants more of them. However, an inflow of new patients doesn’t necessarily mean greater profits. So what steps can you take to turn high growth into earnings and escape the low-profit trap?
Working long hours and trying to outrun your overhead won’t bring more patients through the door. According to Dr. Bill Blatchford, what will move the needle in your business comes down to your interaction with patients. It’s crucial to ask your patients questions about their needs and figure out what they want and why they want it. And yes — this includes budget discussions. You should cater to the emotional, right-brain aspects of a patient's needs and present a comprehensive plan. Above all, you and your team have to believe that your practice is the best area for people to invest in.
In this podcast episode, Dr. Bill Blatchford has a conversation with Ed O’Keefe, Co-founder of Unlimited Leads and Consulting For Equity, about the top strategies to turn high growth into a high profit margin. Dr. Blatchford shares his methods to escape the low-profit trap, tips for catering to your patients’ needs, and why it’s important to understand your unique ability.

In this episode…When was the last time you had a vacation? Are you scraping the bottom of the barrel for profits by only offering the bare minimum treatments for your patients? Don’t you wish you had more time and money?
It turns out that you can start offering more profitable treatments — and your patients will be happy about it. Rather than telling patients what to do, let them tell you what to do. Encourage them to share their dental health goals and tell you exactly how they want to look and feel. All you have to do is offer them options to get there.
In this podcast episode, Dr. Christina Blatchford is joined by Dr. Drew Addy, the Owner of Carlsbad Beach Dental, to discuss how to increase profits and client satisfaction. Dr. Addy shares the moment he realized he needed to change his dental practice, how he found the courage to overhaul business operations, and the many ways it’s paid off.

In this podcast episode, Dr. Christina Blatchford is joined by Dr. Daniela Eversgerd, the Owner of Allure Dental, to discuss how to grow your clientele through social media. In this episode…Most startup dentists are told to partner with as many insurance companies as possible. Sure, insurance companies can send you endless amounts of patients. But will this actually bring you the most profit?
Dr. Bill Blatchford, a dentistry business consultant, says that when he started his dental practice in 1970 — before dental insurance existed — most dentists brought home 55 cents on the dollar. Now decades later, that number has decreased to a mere 25 cents on the dollar, in large part due to insurance companies. While insurance companies may send you a ready list of clients, most of them will only accept treatment that the insurance covers. This typically results in your schedule being packed with low-paying patients. If this is sounding familiar, you may be wondering: is there any way out of the downward spiral?
In this podcast episode, Ed O’Keefe interviews Dr. Bill Blatchford, the Co-CEO of Blatchford Solutions, about how you can escape the dental insurance trap. Dr. Blatchford explains why partnering with insurance companies is the least profitable marketing plan for dentists, how to become a “non-restricted provider,” and why learning to communicate the value of dentistry is so essential.
Perry Marshall is the Founder of the Evolution 2.0 Prize, the world’s largest science research award, and the author of multiple books, including 80/20 Sales and Marketing. Perry is also a Google Ads guru, and his Google AdWords book laid the foundation for the $100 billion pay-per-click (PPC) industry. Perry is endorsed in Forbes and Inc. Magazine and is one of the most expensive business consultants in the world. Clients in 300 industries have benefited from his capacity to integrate sales, technology, art, and psychology. He has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and currently lives with his family in Chicago.
In this episode…Business owners spend enormous amounts of time trying to please their most difficult customers. But is that actually where you’re making the most money?
Perry Marshall believes that 80% of your company’s profits come from 20% of your clients — and not the hard-to-please ones. Rather than trying to make every customer happy or spending hours recruiting new clients, Perry suggests that you instead redouble your efforts on the existing customers that are more likely to buy your services. When you hyper-focus on your smaller but more valuable opportunities, you can start making better use of your time, energy, and money. So, how do you figure out which customers to focus on?
In this podcast episode, Dr. Bill Blatchford and Dr. Christina Blatchford are joined by Perry Marshall, the author of 80/20 Sales and Marketing, to discuss how to make more with less. Perry talks about the core concepts from his book, the benefits of hiring a personal assistant, and his tips for optimizing your marketing the right way. Stay tuned.

When it comes to leadership and decision making it's important to have a clearly defined vision.
Your vision is going to guide you in the right direction. It's going to guide you to the best decision for your office.
One statement that we hear from dentists who are thinking about joining our coaching program is "I don't think my team will be on board."
As the doctor and the person signing the checks, it's essential that you build a team that is just as committed to the vision of the practice as you are. When you have a team dedicated to the vision it allows everyone to rally around the decisions that move your practice forward.
In this episode of the podcast, we talk more about the importance of leadership and coaching around team decisions. Tune in to learn more.
