Prayer is talking with God in thoughts and words. Sometimes it is an argument, a desperate plea, a sigh of contentment, a cry of surprise, a song of praise. Prayer is a gift God has given us in our relationship with Him.
God wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). God has called billions of people to carry this message to the world in word and actions…including you (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19-20; John 13:34-35). Praise God for His generous mission!
God is at work in every circumstance in our lives, redeeming what is evil and guiding what is good. Being able to see that - and trust what He is doing - is critical. God generously gives us the time we need to see His hand at work. The challenge for us, with the pace of our lives today, is using the time He gives us to be able to see it.
Today we’ll spend some time talking about work and a generous living/life. We’ll deepen our understanding about a life that is lived generously. We are all called to make every effort to spread the Gospel wherever we are in life. It is amazing that once we start seeing our life through different lenses how God can use us in a greater way. God bless your worship.
Did you know that thousands of living creatures call your eyebrows “home”? Around 20,000 species of butterflies have been identified around the world. The largest living entity on the earth is a honey fungus in Oregon measuring 2.4 miles. The earth’s population is now over seven billion – and you are completely unique. What an amazing – and generous – life exists all around us!
God gives what we need in abundance: life, breath, food, and even words. Though at times we may feel like God is silent, the truth is that He speaks to us freely and given us more to listen to than we could ever need.
