Amsa (Amsalech) Burke is a high school student in Lynden, Washington. She is also one of the founding members of a new organization called "Young Advocates of Whatcom County". The YAWC is committed to working towards creating lasting change and fighting against racial injustice in Whatcom County, and more specifically, Lynden. In this episode, Amsa and Leila are discussing the first ever, March For Black Lives, that just took place in their town just a few days ago. You will hear all about Amsa's story, how YAWC was created, and what more you can expect to see from the organization from this point forward.
