Then, we flip the lens:
After that, we hit the hardwood.

Nebraska hoops just sent another message. The Huskers handled New Mexico 84–72 in Kansas City to move to 5–0, and we’re breaking it all down on today’s episode of Bleav in Nebraska. From Jamarques Lawrence’s big night to the backcourt depth and that early 20-point punch, we talk about what this win says about Nebraska’s guard play and how it should shift expectations for the rest of the season.
Then we flip it to the gridiron. Husker football heads to Happy Valley for a primetime showdown with Penn State, and we’ve got your quick-hit preview. We lay out the stage, the Vegas snapshot, and the biggest keys: defense vs. defense, the run game and turnover margin, and what an eighth win on NBC would mean for Matt Rhule’s program on the national stage.
We close with a “Bleav It or Not”: will the Huskers really go into Beaver Stadium and steal one on the road? Tap in, drop your prediction, and let us know your confidence level in Nebraska—on the hardwood and on the road in Happy Valley.

Nebraska Football: The Huskers move to 7–3 (4–3 B1G) after a 28–21 win at UCLA. We unpack TJ Lateef—what worked (quick game, QB keepers, early-down pass rate), how to protect him with motion and play-action, and why the identity stays physical run + efficient throws. With a bye week before @ Penn State (Nov 22) and Iowa (Nov 28), we hit the health checklist: Dasan McCullough, Dawson Merritt, Rocco Spindler, Vincent Shavers and how extra rest could swing November.
Husker Hoops: Nebraska is 3–0 after beating FIU 96–66 (Mast 18–12–10 triple-double; 17 made threes) and UMES 69–50. Tonight: Nebraska vs Oklahoma, neutral at Sioux Falls (Sanford Pentagon), 6:00p CST on BTN. Keys: keep the 0.5 decisions and spacing that fueled the shooting, use Rienk Mast as the inside-out hub (elbow touches/DHOs for Sandfort/Essegian), and win the catch-and-shoot battle on a neutral floor.

This one hurts, Husker Nation.
On Saturday night, Nebraska didn’t just lose a game — they lost their quarterback and emotional engine. Dylan Raiola is out for the season with a broken fibula. Before leaving the game, Raiola had this team up 14–6 and was pushing for another statement win.
Matt Rhule revealed after the game that Raiola tried to go back in — helmet on, begging for a chance to finish the fight — but Rhule wouldn’t risk further injury:
"I love you too much to put you back out there like this." — Matt Rhule
Raiola finishes the year throwing for 2,000 yards, 18 touchdowns, and just six interceptions, establishing himself as the future of Nebraska football.
Now, it’s NEXT MAN UP as true freshman TJ Lateef takes over.
In this episode:
We also look around campus:
It’s a heavy moment, but this team has fought through adversity all year.
