The Ravens were blown out twice by the Bengals last year, losing 41-17 at home and 41-21 in Cincinnati, when Joe Burrow piled up 525 passing yards, the most ever allowed by a Ravens defense. Marlon Humphrey didn't play that day, and neither did Marcus Peters. Safety Marcus Williams has also been added, and it feels like this pass defense was built to face this team. Can the Ravens 32nd-ranked pass defense get right against an offense that was one, no, three steps ahead of it last year? Can the Ravens offense, that might be missing wide receiver Rashod Bateman and running back Justice Hill, sustain big drives? As usual, it will probably come down to Lamar Jackson, whose signature play among all the others was his sensational, spin-move 47-yard touchdown run against the Bengals in 2019. With the Ravens coming off another blown big league in a last-second loss to Buffalo, this AFC North opener feels like a critical test.
