We are back with another installment of marriage in a blended family!  When two established individuals with kids in tow decide to join lives, there’s bound to be struggles of all kinds.  Family values, parenting styles, religious practices, finances, and so much more need to be discussed and agreed upon, even if its agreeing to disagree, in order to have a successful blended family.  We have seen and learned that your blended family is only as good as your marriage is strong.  The health of your marriage trickles down to the well being of your kids, so it is very important that you put your all into being good with your spouse for the sake of the children.  When things are off between spouses in a blended family it creates all kinds of unease and insecurities within the whole family.  Your marriage needs to be the top priority in your family, for its survival is also your family’s survival.  In this podcast episode we discuss all this and give advice for how to put your marriage first and make your significant other feel valued and heard.  You can do this; you can break through the walls of resentment and misunderstanding by extending olive branches to your spouse and by being less self focused and more marriage focused.  Enjoy!
