This episode is a mixed bag; we tackled A LOT!  Social media has been a great way to connect with other blended families and find out what hot topics people are looking for subject matter on.  This is exactly how we decided to talk about parallel parenting versus co-parenting and #finances in a blended family.  We even got pulled into a discussion of #childsupport during our live recording, which was super interesting.  We never really discuss our points of view beforehand, and on this episode you can tell as things get a tad real and a little heated lol.  A lot of blended family's are set up right off the bat to have parallel parenting between significant others where it him and his and her and hers and each parent their own.  It takes a real effort to actually blend into having cohesive and complimentary #parentingstyles.  Getting on the same page is no joke.  Same thing goes with finances.  Blended family's usually start out with two financially established individuals who have to figure out how to commingle funds.  The question is to join, or not to join (bank accounts that is)?  In this podcast we tell you what works for us and why.  We also discuss if we would do it differently.  Speaking of funds, it was a natural progression to dip our toes in the child support topic...eeek.  There's no happy or good answer when it comes to that subject.  There's a lot to digest, so we hope you are hungry for what we got!  Enjoy!
