We interview a very special friend Bill Corbett who is a Author, Speaker and a Trainer on subjects dealing with parenting.  One of his early books Love, Limits and Lessons is our topic along with advise on Teens and parenting.

On this episode we talk about having date nights and give some ideas of what to do.  Date night is not just about you and your spouse but having one on one time with your bonus kids as well.  We talked about why it is vital to have the date nights and to schedule them.  We would love to hear what date nights you have done. 

We touch on a current event of what is going on with the new laws dealing with freedom of religion.  How do you teach tolerance in a blended family?

We talk about not only taking the high road but along with that is the forgivness piece and how they can be tied together.  Do you have to actually tell the other person you forgave them or can you tell yourself? When taking the high road do you need to respond to the other one or can silence be taking the high road?

Tommy was on business using Uber and the driver, Fred talked to Tommy about his concerns if he gets into a serious relationship as far as living places.  On this episode we talk about the fact that this is aonther serious conversation once you get to the point of the relationship of where are yopu going to live? Who's house or will it be a new house?

Both Ann and I have been not only wanting to talk about how to the blend the finical piece together for yu but we have had this struggle in our own marriage and we are now taking it more seriously.  We reccomend to help your kids learn a health finical life as well as if you are not good with money ASK others who are.  We also want to give 3 of the kids coloring books away by posting on blendingthefamilys Face Book page a tip to help with our topic of money.

Today we talk about when the kids go through the divorce does the age of the child matter because it might once you are all under one roof. Ann says that the age range of 9-15 that yes it does matter but Tommy stated that it is about the individual child. What are your thoughts??
