Bless Me this Morning

Finding strength:

Lest you're with feelings of being on the verge of giving up. Know that scripture says to you: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29

Hannah waited. A few weeks went by with seemingly no answer. 

Each day that passed made Hannah feel more anxious. Where should she go? Did God not hear her prayers for help?

We pray:

God, I need wisdom. I have to choose between different paths and I’m not sure what to do. Please show me what direction I should go.

Overnight, Bryan’s life changed. 

His mom started working long hours, trying to keep a roof over their heads. 

As the Christmas season neared, the Christmas tree went up but there were no gifts under it.

Do Grace, Not Revenge.

His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,” they said. – Genesis 50:18, NIV

For years, Joseph’s brothers had felt uneasy. The puny kid they’d thrown down a well was now the second most powerful man in the country. He would only need to speak a word, just one word, and he could have all his brothers, with their wives and children, too, arrested.

In his anger, Bertrand blurted out: "No, no God, I don't want to be a peacemaker," He hastily turned off the radio. He said, “I’m furious and I want to get revenge. This just isn't fair, and I'm outraged!”  Now off to deal with that deceitful liar co-worker...

Odessa chose to do groceries first, instead of giving in to road rage because of the traffic congestion that prevented her from running the errands she intended.  An amazing experience awaited her at the grocery store.
