What may be a reasonable time to wait for your miracle?

The water would start to bubble at odd times, seemingly at random. Anyone who jumped into the water as soon as the disturbance occurred was cured of their ailment or condition.  Some sick and crippled people would wait for the waters to be agitated, hoping to jump in on time and to benefit from the healing.

"Sir," the sick said, "when the water is agitated, I have no one to help me into the pool." Other people always slide down ahead of me as I'm attempting to get in." (John 5:7)  This man waited with faith and hope that one day there will be less people and he would be able to get to the agitated water in time.

What is a reasonable waiting time?

In the Elizabeth story, in her timing, the room was vacant, a somber reminder of her unmet ambitions. The doctor gave her the diagnosis of infertility, which would change her life forever. But now, in His timing, she exclaimed: "In recent days, He has showed his affection by removing my public dishonor."

Almost at once, the guy was able to hear and speak. He had spent his entire life thinking he was unimportant. He couldn't verbally defend himself in any situation or  argument because he couldn't speak. Surely, other kids may have mocked him since he had difficulty hearing.
