Proverbs 18 verse 21 tells us. I was watching the TV and a heard a comment made by a reporter to someone who I think had been racially abused I don't know the person he was talking to nor did I hear this person's answer. but the holy spirit made me start thinking about life and experiences. And there are things we have to stand and fight. And there are things we have to move from that are toxic for our life and ask God for the wisdom to know when to move because sometimes we stay in toxic situations because we sometimes get use to it that it becomes normal even when it's not God's plan for our. Some times we tell others and we are told what God is saying at this time and we proudly proclaim to anyone that would listen. But when we are on our own doubt starts to creep in and we start to worry about all the things that we need to do and how we are going to get the money to do the things that we need to do and we forget that If God has told us to do he will provide for us. I am in the book of Joshua chapter 5 verse 12 says that the manna creased on the day they had eaten some of the produce of the land so the israelites no longer had manna but they ate produce of the land of canaan during that year. If we can remember they had been eating manna for over 40 years but now they are going into the promise land they no longer need. When we trust God and walk our the plans he has for us we will always have victory our God is the God of the old and new testament and he promised never to leave us or forsake us and is word never fails let's all walk it out this 2023 and enjoy the blesses God has in store for us all in jesus name we pray amen. I kings chapter 19 verse19-21 tells us that ELijah went to find Elisha to train him up to become a prophet to take over from him. He found him in the field with his Oxen plowing. He throw his mantle over him to show him that he had be called out by God to become a prophet. He put down the plow and run after ELijah and asked him if he could kiss is father goodbye Because he was expected to just follow ELijah into is new life. He went back to say good bye to his family and killed the oxen that he was using and gave the people to eat which was his way of showing there was no longer a place for him to return and take up the plow again is life was now going to be lived has a prophet . God wants us to do likewise to put away and close the door to things that are stopping us from walking in our proper calling because of fear of what other people will say about us or fear that we may not be able to do it or money we may not have. Its now time to kill and cook the oxen and start walking in our calling and what God has prepared for our life. Do you know the time and season you are in not for everyone esle for your life Ecclesiastieschapter3verse1to8 tells us the importance of times and seasons and we read it but do we truly understand how much effect times and seasons have on ourlives when we should be sowing we are trying to reap when we should be letting go we are trying to hold on. 1 Corinthians 12 tells us about how important our gifts are for the building up of the body. We are told the gifts are giving encouragement helping teaching doing evangelism Distinguishing between spirits and more and it's all to do with the building up of the church that we can go into the community and make a difference. And one is not greater than the other because all parts of the body is needed to fulfil the work of the kingdom. I was listening to a message this morning from toni brown and she was talking about the gifts we are given and are we using them and it made me think. About myself am I walking in my gift and if I am not I need to start doing it now because we put extra weight on other people when we are not playing our part in the kingdom Paul also remains us of the greatest gift which is love and if we walk in love it will be easier for us to walk in our gifts and calling because we will want to make a difference to someone's life. I have just finished reading deuteronomy 34 where moses died and God told the children of Israel to weep and mourn for moses for 30 days and then Joshua would lead them into the promised land. moses had been a great leader in the way he passed on good teaching to Joshua who would go on to declare choose today who you will serve but has for me and my house we will serve the Lord. The Lord is telling us today. Our 30days of moaning are over for a past and mistakes we cannot change. In life we sometimes make our emotions get the better of us and we miss out on things that God had meant for us but just because we were upset by people we let it go. And sometimes because of pride we he has for us which are good and not evil. So let 2023 be the year we take a second look. There will be things we were right to leave behind. Frame means a supporting structure. That serves to support something fitting and unting parts together. And that is truly what God is doing in our lifes. Sometimes the most important things God does in our lifes are unseen but they are the things that frame our lifes sometimes we go though things that we can tell someone what not to do i remember when I was in my teens iam 65 now I was walking down the road looking back words. And when I turned around I turn around right into a lamppost I cracked my front teeth got a mark over my eyebrow that I think I gave to my children when they were born I can't remember what I was looking at but I remember the after effects and I will always remember to tell my grandchildren the dangers of not looking where you are going. And God always tries to remind us of those same things that can harm us and leave a lasting effect of our lives. Sometimes we become like children always thinking God wants to stop us from having fun but this is the year God wants us to grow up and see that it's the simple things in life that give us the most joy spending time with family and friends not making the same mistakes over and over again but to learn from them has he frames our 2023 to be a year of blessings and overflow..
