A competitor is a fierce rival. Someone who always wants to be one step ahead of you. you have someone in your life who calls themselves your friend but they are always boasting about what they have and you may have told them that was what you wanted. I can't remember if I was reading psalm 91 or thinking about it the other day but the part that tells us about God promises about is protection. Against sickness I was thinking why is it that so many Christians were taken ill with the virus. And the word came to me the reason is that we don't listen to what the holy spirit is saying to us if he tells us don't go to that party or function we don't think he has a reason for telling us that we think about the fun we are going to miss or about the people that are going to be upset if we don't go and then we go and when we become sick we don't even hear from them. And we are told wear a mask keep a safe distance wash our hands and we don't because we say nothing can come near us it can because a virus is a germ that can get passed on God expects us to be wise eat right protect ourselves and other people i have been so surprised to see people out in the community even without a simple mask. living has, if we were in 2019 their is a difference with having faith and trying to test God.
