In this week's gospel, we hear the great commandment- Love God and love one another. Loving each other is part of loving God. Sometimes in order to love others, we need to repent, which means to see things in a new way.

It's easy to look the part of being a disciple, but it's much harder to actually live as a disciple. Fr. Rob challenges us to not just look good, but to actually be good. It's not enough to oppose the structures that hold people back like racism, systematic poverty, etc., but what are we doing to help erradicate them?

We can't procrastinate our discipleship. We can't wait until the time is right to be a disciple of Christ. Now is the time.

Jesus asks his disciples, who do you say that I am? Fr. Rob challenges us to ask God that same question. When we pray, we need to ask Jsus: who do you say that I am? When we're open to God, we can begin to see who we are.
