While I was in New Orleans this month, some friends and I tried something new and did the Tough Mudder Half ! It was an intense 5-mile, 13 obstacle challenge. This week my friend Dr. Kels and I chat about how Tough Mudder is symbolic of the grad school journey, getting #fakedeep about the experience. She shares her insight on completing the Ph.D. journey just 2 years ago.
Dr. Henderson, affectionately known as 'Dr. J' shares his story navigating grad school. He gives some accounts of the experiences that shaped his career as a prominent thought leader in engineering education. He has created numerous engaging, impactful outreach programs in communities of color and supports students of color at the undergraduate and graduate level as a mentor and advisor.
