In this week's episode of the Block Exploring Podcast, Tommy (@sabaisquared) and Elias (@otokocrypto) discuss the state of the market.
It’s the first week of 2022, and the markets are slightly bearish?
That’s great for us because we get to talk about the importance of on-chain analysis versus technical analysis. Right now we find that three-quarters of the Bitcoin supply is considered illiquid. This means that people are ready to hold for the long term and not willing to sell at current price levels. This means that there are a large set of bullish on-chain indicators which are giving off contrary signals to what is happening on the market.
In other news, we discuss the recent statements made by Charles Hoskinson on the state of crypto, venture capital in crypto, and the importance of community. Charles states that VC does not appreciate community in the scope of Cardano, Elias makes a bullish case for $ADA in this episode because of this.
What do you think? Where does the value of community lay in crypto?

In this week's episode of the Block Exploring Podcast, Tommy (@sabaisquared) and Elias (@otokocrypto) discuss the state of the market.
This week, the US lawmakers announced plans for a bill specifically tailored towards crypto for 2022. This can go two ways, either more regulatory certainty for start-ups and established companies, or more tax and still little clarity on the legal standing of crypto. Moreover, the bill seems to aim towards regulating stablecoins. This is important since stablecoins, such as Tether and DAi are quite central to the crypto space. Unfortunately, as we reported in the past Tether has been quite controversial.
Stablecoins and the protocols behind them are other points of discussion in this episode. With LUNA booming in the current market it is important to discuss the value of algorithmic stablecoins, dApps, and layer 2 solutions for transactions. We see this very practically occur with Uniswap moving to Polygon.

This week, Jack Dorsey, former CEO of Twitter Inc. started beef with all of crypto twitter. He stated “You don’t own web3. The VCs (Venture Capitalists) and their LPs (Liquiditiy Pools) do. It will never escape their incentives. It’s ultimately a centralized entity with a different label.”
Elon Musk added to this by stating: “Has anyone seen web3? I can’t find it.”
What is the solution to the valid concern both bring up? Do venture capitalists own web 3?

This week, we discuss the SOLANA collaboration with Reddit. This week they launched a $200M Web 3.0 social media initiative. This is potentially a huge additional source of utility in the crypto space.
We get into gamification and social media integration in crypto and its importance. We also talk about the importance of self-funded projects and how a community can add to the value of a token.
Interesting developments all around, and opportunity in abundance!

This week Coinmarketcap users became billionaires! For a second, and not really… A glitch showed extremely high prices for all the cryptocurrencies, which was fun to see for a second there.
Elon Musk also spoke about how DOGE was better than Bitcoin as a currency, interesting times, interesting takes…
In this episode, we discuss the bearish state of the market, but the contrast we also see with the state of institutional buy-ins. NFTs might pump the crypto space again? RTFKT, a fashion-based NFT project was bought by Nike. This continues the trend of large brands getting into the crypto space and metaverse.
We also see Cyberkongz gain venture capital backing. At the same time, we see CryptoKitties fund itself via tokenization and a form of ICO? Think with us about the future of the space, and how NFTs will add value to it. How do you think funding for these projects should go? Do web 2 companies have a place in the crypto space?

In this week's episode of the Block Exploring Podcast, Tommy (@sabaisquared) and Elias (@otokocrypto) discuss the state of the market.
Evergrande defaulted on its final interest payment, US congressmen are discussing the dangers of crypto, and a major predicted dip (predicted by Raoul Paul and GaryVee) is manifesting.
Very similar black swan events occurred March 2020, and this was the advent of the largest run-up seen in crypto in a while. A lot of uncertainty in the markets, but sometimes that is the best time to buy?
What are we thinking: bearish or run-up to a major pump?
