  • Getter Announces Comeback Tour After Indefinite Hiatus

After an indefinite break from performing, Getter is heading out on tour to make his long-awaited return to the stage.

The influential DJ and producer has announced a 2025 tour beginning on July 4th in Los Angeles. He's set to perform in a slew of major US cities, including Philly, Denver, Washington DC and Chicago, as well as a show in Vancouver.

One of the tour's highlights is a performance at Nashville's Pinnacle venue, where dubstep superstar SVDDEN DEATH is hosting a curated two-day takeover July 11-12. Getter's performance on the 11th is billed as a "Resurrection Set," a fitting title for an artist sorely missed by the electronic music community.

Getter recently ended an indefinite hiatus from the electronic music scene by virtue of his signing to United Talent Agency. He'd consistently released music under his hip-hop alias, Terror Reid, but his last original electronic release as Getter was 2021's Some Creature EP. He ultimately returned in May 2025 with an official remix of Mike Posner's hit debut single, "Cooler Than Me."

  • NOVAH and CERES Land on Tomorrowland Music With Hard Techno Anthem, "Papi"

NOVAH and CERES have joined forces for a new single, weaving a spell of sweat and sound to deliver a hard techno anthem on Tomorrowland Music, the label of the iconic EDM festival of the same name.

In a scene where techno can sometimes feel like a cold, mechanical march, Belgian techno phenom NOVAH has stormed onto the scene with a dynamic and pumping sound. Her latest masterstroke is "Papi," a track she created alongside CERES, the Rio de Janeiro-born artist whose collaboration with Alok, "LET’S GET FKD UP," recently reached 5x Platinum status.

Produced at a breakneck tempo of 155 BPM, "Papi" is a sweat-soaked love letter to the dancefloor. NOVAH has produced a sound that's both ferocious and flirtatious, dragging you onto the floor with a techno beat forged in pure adrenaline.

The track is not subtle, and neither is NOVAH. Her pulse-pounding sound has led her to a busy international touring schedule, which includes upcoming DJ sets at major festivals like Italy's Kappa FuturFestival, Austria's Electric Love and Belgium's Dour.

  • Mike Posner Drops New Remixes of "I Took A Pill In Ibiza" by Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke and More

For Mike Posner, "I Took A Pill In Ibiza" was never about topping charts. It was a moment of vulnerability that captured what Avicii knew too well: how success can amplify the very emptiness it's supposed to fill.

"He never cared, unlike almost everybody in the music industry, if I was number one, or number one million," Posner told EDM.com back in 2021. "In this period where I'm sitting at home with an empty calendar, he asked me to work."

Now, the track echoes louder than ever with The Forest Remix Pack, a new collection of reworks by some of dance music's biggest names. Nearly a decade after he stood alone on a digital cliffside and confessed, "I took a pill in Ibiza to show Avicii I was cool," Posner is returning to the dancefloor with a new EP of festival-ready remixes produced by Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke, Trivecta, BONNIE X CLYDE and Prosecute.

Coming on the heels of Posner’s appearance at EDC Las Vegas and ahead of his upcoming performance at Electric Forest, the new collection arrives at a moment of reinvigoration for the singer-songwriter. Each remix showcases a different vision of “I Took A Pill In Ibiza,” tracing its bittersweet narrative across a spectrum of electronic subgenres.

"Remixing 'I Took A Pill In Ibiza' was deeply personal for me," Aoki said of his connection to the track, recalling the emotional gravity of performing it live with Posner at EDC Las Vegas. "There was so much raw emotion in the air. You could feel every lyric."

After Aoki's opening salvo, Laidback Luke takes the baton and turns in a rhythmic piano-house rework that pulses with kinetic warmth. Trivecta’s take swells with soaring melodic drum & bass, injecting the melancholic original with a cinematic sense of hope while BONNIE X CLYDE dive deeper into introspection, layering Afro-house textures beneath Posner's ageless vocals. Prosecute then caps off the collection, reimagining the track through the lens of brooding melodic bass.

Out now via Aoki's Dim Mak imprint, the EP follows the label's recent release of Headliner Remix Pack, a collection of reworks of Posner's breakthrough debut single "Cooler Than Me." That record, which features remixes from Getter, Deorro and more, also underscores the enduring appeal of his earliest work.

Because nothing says PLUR like puppies and popsicles, Ultra Music Festival is hosting a pet adoption event at its longtime venue in the heart of downtown Miami.

The organizers of Ultra, one of the world's largest EDM festivals, are putting community first with "Bayfront Bark," a free pet adoption event popping up at Bayfront Park on Saturday, June 21st.

In a collaborative effort with Miami-Dade County Animal Services, Bayfront Park, the City of Miami and the Miami Police Department, the event aims to connect lovable pets with forever homes, all while handing out ice cream and exclusive Ultra giveaways including pet products and limited-edition branded swag. Adoptions will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis with a valid photo ID required.

The initiative falls under Mission: Home, Ultra's award-winning sustainability and community engagement program launched in 2019. So whether you're on the hunt for a new four-legged friend or just looking to bask in some sun and wholesome vibes, "Bayfront Bark" is scheduled to take place Saturday, June 21st from 10am to 1pm at the southeast corner of Bayfront Park.

A decade after the launch of UNTOLD, legends are lingering and imagination is running wild for the festival's historic 10th anniversary in the heart of Transylvania.

The organizers of the massive Romanian festival have been building an entire universe in that time. They're now returning to the city of Cluj-Napoca from August 7–10 for what has the feel of the brand's most dramatic and impressive festival yet, with eight stages, 200 artists and roughly 400,000 fans dancing under the night sky of this magical pocket of Europe.

They've now unveiled another wave of artists for UNTOLD X at the Cluj Arena, adding to a lineup that meets the moment of its milestone anniversary.

Thursday, August 7th kicks off with a stacked Mainstage featuring Topic, Tujamo, an exclusive Don Diablo performance and an extended set from Dutch dance music legend Tiësto. Over on the Galaxy stage, techno and house music enthusiasts can catch Black Coffee, Nusha and more while Ben Böhmer and Parra for Cuva bring dreamy vibes on the Daydreaming stage.

Friday brings a standout performance from Post Malone—his first-ever in Romania—and a special show by trance icon Armin van Buuren. Dom Dolla and ARTBAT will heat up the Galaxy stage, while Sébastien Léger and Mano Le Tough guide the Daydreaming crowd through lush, melodic grooves.

Saturday belongs to hip-hop superstar Metro Boomin, delivering his only European festival set of the year alongside EDM titans Alok, Alan Walker, HUGEL and Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello on the Mainstage. Galaxy welcomes Chicago house music luminary Green Velvet and Daydreaming will feature Röyksopp and Jan Blomqvist, among others.

Sunday, August 10th closes out UNTOLD X with a massive finale led by Martin Garrix, who will perform an "UNTOLD Special Show" on the Mainstage, where Anyma, FISHER, Becky Hill, INNA and more will also perform. Adriatique and Marco Carola helm the Galaxy stage, while the Daydreaming zone winds down with Bob Moses, Shimza and Pachanga Boys.

That somehow only scratches the surface of the lineup, which is still unfolding and also includes a can't-miss performance by drum & bass superstar Wilkinson on the Alchemy stage. Dubstep legend Rusko will also throw down at Alchemy, which features a slew of local talents as well.

  • Inside the 2025 Biohacking Conference, Where Science, Psychedelics and Raving Converged

What do science, psychedelics and spirituality have to do with electronic dance music? More than you might think.

Those three themes were front and center in Austin, known as the "Live Music Capital of the World," at Dave Asprey’s 13th annual Biohacking Conference, a gathering that felt less like a tech summit and more like a future-forward wellness festival. From May 28–30, thousands came together to explore cutting-edge tools for upgrading and optimizing the human experience through biohacking, a term coined by Asprey over a decade ago.

Year after year, the event hosts a community driven by the same values that pulse through EDM culture: joy, connection and the freedom to evolve. "Living longer only matters if you can feel joy, connection, and purpose while doing it," reads one of the event’s guiding philosophies, courtesy of Asprey.

And just like rave culture has long explored altered states as a gateway to healing and unity, so too did this summit. At one point, the iconic Steve Aoki appeared and DJed a mid-conference dance party to put these mind-blowing health discoveries to use.

Speakers unpacked everything from "Unlocking the Quantum Brain: How Neuroplasticity, Brainwaves, and DNA Interact" to “Hack Your Love Life: Optimize for Togetherness, Avoid Regret," plus deep dives like “Rewiring the Brain: The Power of Forgiveness, Neurofeedback and Ketamine."

Daymond John of ABC's Shark Tank speaks with Dave Asprey at the 2025 Biohacking Conference in Austin, Texas.

In a session titled "Revolutionizing Mental Performance: The World's First Psychedelic-Assisted Neurofeedback Experience," the team from Asprey's 40 Years of Zen brand showcased how ketamine, when combined with neurofeedback, can rewire the brain. The process, they said, has the ability to heal trauma, enhance neuroplasticity and unlock suppressed emotions for clarity.

Elsewhere, nutritional biochemist Shawn Wells spotlighted MDMA’s emerging clinical role in treating PTSD, anxiety and depression—not unlike the substance's presence on dancefloors, where it’s long been used to dissolve boundaries and amplify empathy. The key difference? Science is finally catching up.

The conference reached its apex with Asprey’s keynote, "Harnessing Altered States for Peak Performance," in which he mapped out what he calls the mind's "control panel." He described a toolkit of neurofeedback, breathwork, psychedelics and more that collectively allow us to reset outdated patterns and access flow states at will.

In other words, the tools may be evolving, but the prevailing goal remains: get out of your head, into your body, and connect, both with yourself and others.

Asprey’s next conference, rebranded to BEYOND, returns to the Fairmont Austin in 2026 and promises an even deeper dive. According to the website, it's "an upgraded experience for those committed to elevating both body and mind, performance and consciousness."

  • David Guetta and Cedric Gervais Channel French House Roots in New Single, "A Better World"

David Guetta and Cedric Gervais have reunited for a new single, "A Better World," a love letter to the golden age of French house music.

Drawing inspiration from Jackie Moore's 1970s hit "If," the French electronic music titans constructed a sonic bridge between disco's euphoric past and the euphoria of today's dopemine-fueled dance music. Their reverence for their musical heritage permeates the beat, which chugs along to a radiant house rhythm.

The production maintains the glossy sheen expected from Guetta and Gervais while allowing space for nu-disco flourishes that feel authentically rooted in the underground Parisian club scene from which both artists emerged.

"I'm very proud of this record we did with David," Gervais said in a statement. "It comes back to our musical roots—being French, I grew up with French house: DJ Falcon, Cassius, Daft Punk and many more incredible artists. That's what we wanted to do with this record: bring back that sound!"

The track arrives after their 2016 collaboration "Would I Lie to You" eclipsed a staggering 500 million streams across platforms.

  • Linney Claims Her Throne In the Ashes With Soul-Baring Single, "The Crown"

Not every coronation happens in gold light—some rise from ashes, with tears still drying and the ground quietly shifting beneath their feet. That's the case for Linney and her new single, "The Crown," her first solo release of 2025.

Reinforcing her standing as one of dance music's most vital emerging storytellers, "The Crown" is more than another club cut on Linney's expanding résumé. The DJ, producer and singer-songwriter, who was recently named to the EDM.com Class of 2025, peels back the layers of resilience and steps fully into her own mythology by releasing the track on her brand-new label, Siren Records.

Born from the imagery of a tarot reading, the track was inspired by her pulling the Tower card, an archetype of collapse and radical transformation. While others around her received signs of love and renewal, Linney says she drew fire, chaos and free-fall.

That moment of personal clarity served as the impetus for this melancholic, emotionally charged anthem. Linney’s voice hovers with fragility over bright, ember-like synths that flicker with urgency. The song's slow-burning production underscores its message that sometimes, survival means surrender.

"The Crown" arrives in the midst of a high-profile summer for Linney, who recently performed at the largest EDM festival in North America, EDC Las Vegas. She's now gearing up for a headline show in New York City on June 28th. Beyond the stage, she's expanding her creative footprint as a new host on Insomniac Radio ONE.

  • Ninajirachi Announces Debut Album, "I Love My Computer"

Before TikTok made bedroom producers famous, Ninajirachi was already building her world in the glow of a computer screen in the Central Coast region of Australia. Now, the virtuosic electronic music producer has announced her long-awaited debut album, I Love My Computer, an ode to the machine she's described as "the greatest collaborator I'll know in this lifetime."

The album's title reflects her journey from discovering EDM through a YouTube video about tie-dyeing denim shorts to becoming one of Australia's most promising electronic artists. Ninajirachi was named by EDM.com as one of the best music producers of 2022 before releasing a pair of stunning EPs, 4x4 and girl edm.

She opened up about the album on social media, reflecting on the digital coming-of-age that all aspiring DJs and music producers experience, like diving into the rabbit holes of digital audio workstations and navigating the grainy qualities of YouTube-to-mp3 rips.

"my whole world cracked open when i heard computer music for the first time," Ninajirachi wrote. "there was a song in the background of a youtube video on how to tie dye denim shorts that sent me on a treasure hunt as a little girl. i’ve spent hundreds of late nights and thousands of hours soaking up everything i can about it, not realising how much the discovery and curiosity would end up shaping my life."

The cover of Ninajirachi's debut album, I Love My Computer.

    c/o Press

She's not exaggerating. Her distorted, candy-coated beats have led her to perform on a number of the world's largest festival stages, like Lollapalooza and EDC Las Vegas. She was also commissioned by Ableton, the world's preeminent DAW, to create the official demo project for its Live 11 software.

I Love My Computer represents what Ninajirachi calls her "best work," marking a significant milestone for an artist who has spent "thousands of hours" perfecting her craft in bedroom studios and late-night sessions.

"i may never have stumbled upon edm or electronic music without my computer, i’m from a working class family in small town regional australia where it doesn’t really exist," she continued. "all of my music is computer music, it’s my instrument, i spend more time with it than any one person and i don’t know who i would be without it."

I Love My Computer is due out August 8th, 2025.

  • Kai Wachi Showcases His Range on Explosive New Album, "NEKROSIS"

Baring both his soul and his undeniable production chops, Kai Wachi's sophomore album is finally here.

The Boise-based dubstep and bass music star proves he’s not interested in genre constraints with the new album, NEKROSIS. Instead, he's unapologetically telling a story and working hard to ensure that it hits just as hard emotionally as it does sonically.

Out now via Black Tiger Sex Machine's Kannibalen Records, NEKROSIS is his first full-length album since 2019's Demigod. The 13-track project builds on years of evolution, revealing a version of Wachi that's more versatile, emotive and technically refined than ever before.

"PRECIOUS" deliver's the album's opening remarks, pairing a towering vocal with an intense drum buildup that morphs into a barrage of trap- and dubstep-inspired chaos. Next up is "ILL," an infinitely danceable banger that laces 8-bit arpeggios through hefty dubstep drops.

NEKROSIS unearths its first emotional salvo with "Hold Onto Me," a vulnerable and uplifting melodic bass cut featuring Aaron Richards. "Not Giving Up" (with Point North) picks up where that track leaves off, but an unforgivingly heavy drop reminds us that Wachi's melancholy won't be exposed for too long before dragging you back into chaos.

"Like You" changes the pace once more, delivering a bass house-style beat complimented by Wachi's unique sound design. Finally, NEKROSIS reaches its conclusion with "Be There For You," a track featuring Isaac Mather that delivers the album's most poignant moments without compromising any of his patented bass drops.

You can listen to NEKROSIS below and find the new album on streaming platforms here.
