  • The Gumbo Mix featuring Branden Johnson
This episode of the Gumbo Mix seeks to uplift, encourage, and inspire you to walk the talk. Too many of us are dying; the lack of self-accounatability along with systemic societal engineering has been at its root cause. The demands of life often dissuade the facts of life. We hope to bring focus back into view for our young people. This is done by knowing who we are and where we're headed. The dangerousness of extinction is all too real. Therefore you will be equipped with tools to use for you to become a source of change in your neighborhood. It was said a few days ago. There should be no reward for basic attendance, yet there should be a striving for excellence in your presence. Don't just be a warm body. I hope to help you become a producer, not just a consumer on Thursday night. Come on and go with me!

  • A Women's Circle From Classmates to Inmates: The School-to-Prison Pipeline
Join A Women's Circle as we untangle the intersection between School-to-Prison Pipeline with special guest Professor Christopher Allen Mallett. Dr. Mallett is licensed in Ohio as a social worker and attorney, and has a long history of working with, advocating for, and representing vulnerable children, adolescents, and their families. The show will focus on the intersection between the public education and penal systems and how both of these institutions, in part, have put forth an effort to control and discipline school-age populations with similar institutional model. As equally important, the school to prison pipeline is amalgamation of a number of different trends-from the over representation of students of color in special education to the rise of zero tolerance school discipline problems; from an increased fear related to school safety to put perverse incentives from test-based accountability systems to push out low-performing students.  We will discuss interventions, and posits recommendations for further actions and policies changes at the state level, local level, school, community and in the home.  The aim of our show is to offer high-impact structural interventions.

  • Darrell Gardner's Horsemanship Show
Darrell Gardner's Horsemanship was founded upon four principles:
    Showing Your Horse Love
By expressing love to your horse it helps to build a good relationship and strong bond. This will lead to a better response from your horse.
    Gaining Respect
If you don't have respect on the ground, you won't have it on the saddle. Respect is an essential part of horsemanship and it begins with good ground manners
    Teaching Obedience
Obedience comes with consistent training. This teaches your horse what you expect and how to quickly respond to the cues given.
Loyalty between the horse and trainer
It all begins with gaining trust. Your initial approach is extremely important. It takes patience and time to get your horse to gain faith in you.
