  • Gumbo Talk: Omertà
Sicilian/Southern Italian Code of Silence, willful disobedience to law enforcement investigations, being aware enough to deflect unwanted attention from yourself, your operations, & your family. This is an innate characteristic, some could say an evolutionary tactic of silence and humility dating back to before Facist tyranny swept most of Italy pre ww2 when even average citizens had to keep hush to survive. Furthermore, Omertà is still the code of silence (or code of “humility,” as Omertà translates to humility in English) adhered to today by most anti-socialites, which has seen a modern resurgence in strength and even cultural acceptance since the crime bill. Many people no longer feel safe in the streets caused by abusive privileges of RICO and many other low level charges by a corrupt Justice system. Learn why people "don't snitch" in the modern day and where trust is found. As always via Facebook Live @gumbotalk

  • Gumbo Talk: Inner Sanctum
Many of us have busy lives that include other people almost all the time. From where we do business to where we lay our heads for rest there is often someone else there. Our lives are inundated with other peoples issues and even their responsibilities. Whether your single, married, or in between; have children, raise children, or take care of someone else's kids; wealthy, poor, or comfortably paid; work, unemployed, or own a business, there are others around you. What do you do for an inner sanctum? Is it the bathroom, a closet, designated room, outdoor space, office, or a vehicle? Whatever it is or isn't you would be better off with one. There is a calm and a rejuvenation when you have moments alone. Having a place of peace is imperative to continue being the best we can be. Our abilities and capabilities need personal time and space to grow. Let's talk about it. Join me for a talk via phone 515.605.9375 or Facebook @gumbotalk live at 8pm cst.

  • Gumbo Talk: Jail ain't necessary
It took me 4 days to convince myself that this was the topic for a Christmas Eve airing of a Live Podcast for the Gumbinos. I have had a lot of communications about life behind bars lately. I am convinced that most of us could utilize the great talents we have for much more fruitful and legal ways to get to our goals. I'm not knockin' anybody's M.O., but for real for real we can unite and do so much more powerful and impactful stuff than things that will eventually land us on the yard doin' a bid. Let's chat about strategy and cunningly alternative means to our goals.
We'll be live not only on Blog Talk Radio, but FB Live and IG. Just follow and like @gumbotalk or dial 515.605.9375 at 8 pm cst this Thursday night.

  • Gumbo Talk: Changing Faces
This episode is a discussion on how we grow through adversity and happiness in our relationships. The many faces we wear and the many faces we will be exposed to from our partners is something we tend to overlook due to complacency. Once we learn how to handle one anothers many faces we have a better appreciation for the other persons signs. Knowing one anothers trigger points is necessary for long term relationships. If you want to grow old alongside someone it is a best practice to have a thicker skin in dealing with each other. This means that things are said that may seem harsh, but knowing they love and at least care for you those words mean us well and not always a condescending remark that means us harm. Join me in the Gumbo Talk Thursday via Facebook @gumbotalk or at Blog Talk Radio. The number to dial for access to speak is 515.605.9375
