In our most metal episode to date, special guest buddy Skip Angelle joins Justin to talk about the hard rock horror of Trick or Treat. It's a movie that rips off both Nightmare on Elm Street and Carrie, but you can't help but love it. Any movie that has Ozzy Osbourne playing a church pastor deserves your respect. Enjoy.
Today we have one of the most fun vampire movies of all time and Tom Holland's directorial debut. It's a funny and frightful flick with some great effects work and one of the sexier vampires of all time in Jerry Dandrige. Invite us into your ears and take a bite out of Fright Night.
Today, we take our first look into the world of Hammer films. After Universal had their run with the monsters, Hammer gave us full color takes on the likes of Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolf Man, and our monster today, The Mummy. With Christopher Lee playing the lumbering monster and Peter Cushing playing our hero, it's a fun british take on a classic creature.
Today, we talk about one of the best horror anthologies ever made, and take a hard look at the real-life horrors that inspired it. There's plenty of laughs, but listen closely and you might hear some truth. I knew I needed a black voice on the show to truly do this movie justice, and I got one of the best comics in our scene to join me.
Special guest buddy for this episode is JestKinni.

We made it to day 10! Today we are looking at a Rob Zombie film. All of Rob's movies are usually pretty polarizing with people, and this one was him going into uncharted territory by making an old-fashioned slow burn witch movie. Does it work? Listen and find out!
It's day 9 and we are covering the "based on a true story" haunted house classic. This movie is full of iconic moments that influenced horror culture in a huge way. You might have noticed that the Amityville house is the house we are standing in front of on the cover of this podcast. You don't get more recognizable that those spooky windows! We also dive into the true crime that influenced the most sequel'd horror franchise of all time in this episode. So cozy up by the fireplace, sharpen your axe, and enjoy!
This ain't your daddy's Blob. Today we are talking about Chuck Russell's remake of the classic squishy science fiction flick, The Blob. This version is one of the more underrated remakes of all time and it is a sticky, gross, absolute blast of a movie with some amazing practical effects. So check your fridge to see if that Jell-o has gotten bigger, and enjoy day 8 of Bloody Buddies 31 Days of Halloween!
Day 7 features the phenomenal Canadian female werewolf flick, Ginger Snaps. Since this movie deals heavily with womanhood and family, I brought in my cousin Hannah as a special guest to give us a woman's point of view. It's that time of month again on Bloody Buddies, and we're not talking about a full moon!
Day 6 of Bloody Buddies 31 Days of Halloween and we are doing our first Universal Monster! The Wolf Man, the OG werewolf story starring the great Lon Chaney Jr. and Claude Rains. With amazing makeup effects by Jack Pierce, one of the most iconic monsters to grace the screen comes to life. It's a simple story that makes for the perfect rainy night watch.
Fair warning: This film, like many others of it's time period, is problematic. The use of the word "Gypsy", Trent and I understand is offensive and while we think it would be more wrong to ignore the issue than to address it, call it out for being offensive, and laugh about it, we also understand that it may be hurtful to some. Apologies to anyone who is hurt by the use of that word in this episode. We care about all our buddies.
On day 5 of our 31 days of Halloween, we take a look at Stan Winston's killer creature feature, Pumpkinhead. It's a fun little romp with great practical effects and a heart-warming story about parenthood with a moral that you can easily lose yourself when you seek revenge. Enjoy!
