Wow! What a year it has been but we're almost at the end. If there is one encouragement I would give to every women like me going into 2023, it would be Take Up Space Sis!
This week I chose to be vulnerable. When I started this podcast I made it clear that I wanted to be free to be transparent. The past two weeks have been a little off for me. I have been feeling really low for good reasons but it doesn't change the fact that it's not a position I enjoy being in. I'm embracing the ebbs and flows though because after all, isn't that what life is about?
I cant be the only one who realized that when ever the question is asked "Who was the toxic one in the relationship" almost everyone is ready to point fingers. I mean after all, we're all perfect beings so there's no way we could have been an fault or even contributed to a relationship that went bad. In this week's episode, we're owning some truths about ourselves. While it might be painful to admit and accept, we're holding ourselves accountable for the role we played in situations. We are identifying how we might have contributed to the negative outcomes. While recording I made the decision to admit to some uncomfortable truths about the woman I used to be. The next time you think about a relationship that failed; before pointing fingers, ask yourself "What if I was toxic?"
As women we often make excuses for accepting mediocrity. We are crippled by fear so much that we self sabotage as we bury our feelings so deep that we often start to lose our identity. This week I want to talk about making selfish decisions that will bring you peace & joy in the long run. At the end of the day we all have our own path to choose but I hope after listening to this, you will be able to make those hard decisions with a bit more clarity. Continue to do what is best for you. Be reminded that you are and will always be what's best for you.
Often times we focus on everything that is happening around us and the list of things we have to do in our lives that we neglect and forget one key thing that can either make or break us. In order for you to be your highest self you need to take care of your mental health. In this week's episode I share some of the things I do to aid. The very things might not be your formula but it is imperative that you find whatever it is. Take care of you like your life depends on it because it does.
I am a woman like you and so I know like me, you've found yourself in situations where you were unhappy, uncomfortable & out of alignment because you refused to draw the line. I pray this episode will be one that causes you to reflect on your life and identify the areas in which you need to start setting some boundaries and drawing the line. No one will make better decisions for you than you. Do not give anyone the power to decide what you should or shouldn't accept. This week we are drawing the line on some things Queen!
Over the past few years I've learned just how valuable it is to have a sisterhood circle that holds space for you. Do away with the "no new friends" narrative and open you heart to welcome healthy loving connections. When women come in alignment with the same goal or vision they are undefeatable. Don't think new friends cannot come into your life and feel like home to you. Allow yourself to love and connect .
