A new Beginning for us! We're adding a few new faces to our podcast, and we're incredibly excited. We're going to be doing one big challenge every month to guard from burnout for you and for us, we've realized that there's so much more to living a full life than non-stop challenging oneself. We'll be doing the same bookend-format of anticipation and review, however, the other two weeks in a month will be an informative discussion on Self-Development, a book related to the ideas we talk about, or interviews, and finally a fun episode - an episode that features us playing games, talking about silly or funny things with some improv and jokes that we all love!

The Bloom Crew has united and we are hyped beyond belief to create bigger and better content for all of you! :)

Camping trip postponed! We recorded last episode just before the world turned upside down for tenth time this year, and we decided it would no longer be appropriate to not be informed on everything happening across the country and the world. BUT - This is one of our favorite episodes so far, we talk about all the craziness happening in the world right now from our own perspectives. We are big supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement, and we talk about a lot of the raw footage and voices we've been hearing across social media, the problems inherent in the system, and the absolute need for major change. 

So much of what Ammanuel and I have talked about has had to do with being burnt out in our current world. All of us have a finite amount of energy, and it's more important than ever to be aware of where we're putting it. Now is the best time for all of us to practice self-care in a more demanding world than we had 6 months ago. But self-care is different form everyone; we talk about the categories of our lives that we need a breath in, and how we might work on them to give us some space to breathe and relax. Self-improvement doesn't require 24/7 energy, balance is the key to sustainability. It's all about the strategic use of our energy, and that's what we talk about this week.

Our favorite episode so far! This is a different kind of episode - we talk about our pasts and reflect on how we got into Self-Improvement in the first place. We get really deep this week, and we have a lot of real conversation about ourselves and our experience. Still many laughs, still all about authenticity, still honest. We're really proud of this week, and we think there's a lot to take value from. That we're not alone in feeling less-than or different, or going through turmoil in life. 

We're changing our format slightly! We're going to be changing how we schedule challenges. Instead of episodes being split up half and half with reflection and anticipation, we're going to bookend each challenge with a whole episode of anticipation and a whole episode of reflection. This gives us this week to recuperate and get really excited about the upcoming episode to kick off our next challenge! Ammanuel and I will be camping overnight in nature and doing a digital screen fast, as much as we're able to (work and obligation). We all need some quiet and clarity and some head space to practice some self-care. 

We're using this week to reflect on what we've gotten from our whole first month of challenges, and we hope you take some time to reflect as well. These challenges are all about trying new things and seeing what makes us happier, healthier, and more authentically us. 

We're incredibly happy and proud of what we've been able to create this past month, and we're so excited from the participation we've seen so far.

We’ve been doing this for a whole month already! This episode is all about everything we got from Ben Franklin’s simple and elegant practice of asking himself what good he shall do for the day, and asking himself at night what good he has done that day. The power of setting positive intention and reflection is something we both need more of. We mention the urban dictionary definitions of our names and their connotations, the hours when we were born, and the meaning of the word “profundity.”

We’ve never been more excited for all of our Challenges this week: It’s all about getting back into doing what you love, your passion, your old hobby, and creating something with it. Ammanuel is going to be reading a poem of his own writing this week, and I’m going to be performing a song! (because I never finish writing songs) This is our challenge to you, to send us your creations by email, through anchor, or any other way you would like to, we would love to share them on next week’s episode!

We try to keep it together here, but in this moment we just broke. 

Out first official guest! A great friend of ours, Ben joins us in talking about our experiences over this week of de-cluttering our rooms, getting real about which of our belongings bring us joy, and achieving a peaceful space where are all currently living at the moment. We reflect on just how much more there is to the Konmari Method than just cleaning your room. It's about a change in perspective, the unconscious choice all of us make when we decide to keep something - to bring it into our future.

We are all going to be getting up every day at 5am to start our very productive days and asking ourselves: "What good shall I do this day?" Our second week in! We are so unbelievably excited about this episode, we talk about how much reaching out to our long-lost friends meant to us and how possible it is for all of us to get in touch now more than ever. We even play you the audio submissions from our great friends to share with you some memories, things that bring them joy in this stressful time, and a piece of advice for all of us to follow. We were really touched by what they had to say and the things that they remembered about us. 

We also talk about our next Big Challenge - Sparking Joy in Quarantine! We are all going to be following the Marie Kondo method to clean our rooms fully. Most of us are stuck at home right now. It's so important, more than ever, to create a space of peace and ease where we live. The Marie Kondo method is as much about fostering a new relationship with our possessions as it is about de-cluttering, and we talk at length about the benefits of this shift in perspective. Still full of laughs and jokes and excitement, we will try not to spike the mics as often!

Welcome to Bloom With Us! In the episode, we talk about what this whole thing is really about. Through my uncontrolled laughter and Ammanuel's exuberant joy, we talk about the meaning and importance of Authenticity in all of our day-to-day lives.
