In this Crossover Episode we have Jess Johnson, the host of the Listen Up with Jess Podcast, talking about her relationship with her father and her progress towards healing! 聽Oftentimes we wait until after we've already gotten the victory to talk about our stuff but in this episode we get real and raw about the NOW!聽In part 2, Jess talks about not feeling she was allowed to have daddy wounds because she grew up with her father in the household. But, his emotional absence impacts her deeply. Whether you have daddy wounds, mommy wounds (shoot I have them both), or have just struggled with the people in your life NOT showing up for you in the ways that you would like, this episode is for you!
Jess also talks about the benefits of therapy, journaling, and having a support system and how these things have been foundational in her journey! Follow Jess on IG@listenupwithjess聽and be sure to listen to Part 1 on her podcast to hear me share my story and learn how the death of one dad changed my perspective.聽
In this episode Amisha and I discuss Impostor Syndrome! Impostor syndrome is loosely defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like an impostor, despite all evidence that proves otherwise. It often entails questioning everything that you know to be true. Anyone can experience imposter syndrome (although mostly associated with women) and in this episode we talk about the power of positive thoughts, changing your perspective and boosting confidence! You are your secret sauce! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You are good enough. You are smart enough. and You ARE qualified!聽

Therapy...What is it? Is it beneficial and how does it work? In today's episode, I get to talk to my former therapist Lujuana Milton and we talk about the benefits of therapy, the stigma, what can be hard about it, and we also talk a little bit about my journey! We HAVE to stop stigmatizing therapy.
Therapy is for every and anyone who wants it. So, if you've thought about seeing a therapist or even had a negative experience with therapy in the past, this episode is for you!
