Some people (we used to be those people) think Self-Love is equal to Selfishness, so they think Self-Love is the enemy of Selflessness. 

But Self-Love is essential to Selflessness. We can’t be Selfless without Self-Love. Self-Love is the foundation of Selflessness. Self-love is the foundation of Self-giving, of Love.

Ruth, Ang Patron Saint ng mga babaeng waiting for your One True Love--Charaught! For those who have an idea of her story, we might have heard the kilig part of her story--yung ma-ala-telenovela feels: Mabait na babae, pero Mahirap, tapos in one sweep of destiny, nasilayan siya ng isang matipuno, mabait at mayaman na lalaki, at nain-love sa kanya, and they lived happily ever after. O diba Pang telenovela! At first glance, it does looked like she was a "damsel in distress" saved by "knight in shining armor" but as we take a deep dive in her story, Ruth is more that that. She's a fierce woman, strong-willed, loyal, and willing to give her life out of love, for not a man, but her mother in law!

 Finding Your Purpose In Life is what elevates us from animals. I mean can you imagine a dog, having an existential moment and asking himself "Why Am I here?". What is that deep longing in our hearts all about? Are we really living for something when all of us is going to die anyway? Is there a point of finding something to make us happy.  For some, this question is on their minds every day. For others, life goes by in a flash without even asking the question.

Do you ever lose zeal in your prayer?  After hearing God's affirmation, God's promise you get so excited, and you pray about it, trusting God, everyday praying, pero after a while you lost that zeal. It doesn't happen in a snap, it happens very gradual, you find yourself back to the start.

Today's Episode is very close to our hearts as well, She is the "Original Tita" because she's the cousin of our dear mother, Mama Mary: St. Elizabeth. She has a very small mentions in the Bible, but GIIRRLSSS we have a lot to learn from this tita!

Her complete trust in God, to hold on to God's promise, God's love paved way to the "Greatest Story Ever Told" (aka Christmas), and also the birth of the greatest prophet of all time (GPOAT), St. John the Baptist!

Have you ever been accused by friends, family, or acquaintances of being judgemental because you believe that some things are right and some things are wrong? Have you find yourself scared to speak up about what you believe in, because of the fear of being "Cancelled". Have you find yourself always thinking of ways on how to speak the truth, your views, your beliefs without trying to hurt anyone's feelings?

In this episode, we had our #honest conversation about the concept of absolute truth vs truth is relative. We explored them not only with the eyes of our Catholic Faith, but also in the lens of logic, reasoning, and above all love.

Today, It's a Book Reaction/Reflection episode @ Bloooming in Faith Podcast! We'll feature the book Exorcism: Encounters with the Paranormal and the Occult  by  by Fr. Jose Francisco C. Syquia. Fr Jocis (his nickname) is the Head of the Commission on Extraordinary Phenomena for the Archdiocese of Manila.
