Main Point- God wants you to cultivate a life of holiness, but this is not something you do on your own but instead you do it as a community.--1. Remember who you are in Christ v12-2. As Christ's word dwells in you, teach each other and learn from each other V16-6. Never lose the focus from Christ by always giving him thanks V17

God's wisdom is a life-giving tonic that helps in every area of your life.

Main Point- You have a new identity in Christ so seek to live a heavenly life now even as you remain on earth. --1. Remember you are raised with Christ so seek him with all your heart v1--2. Set your mind not on earthly things but on the eternal v2--3. Your life is hidden in Christ but it will be revealed when Christ returns v3-4--4. Put to death idolatry which God hates v5-7--5. Your words are to be like that of Christ v8-10--6. You are joined to Christ and you are joined to each other in Christ v11

To truly succeed in life, pursue the welfare of other people first.

Main Point- You have all you need in Christ. Do not be put off by shadows and experiences that can so easily deceive and damage your walk with Christ. --1. Can you identify shadows that you are tempted to follow- V16-17-2. Can you identify experiences that you are tempted to follow- V18-19-3. You have security in your connection with Christ v19-4. In your freedom don't subject yourself to regulations which have no value v20-23-5. You are joined to Jesus in his death v20

You are not to be surprised by suffering or difficulty but instead pray v24, 1-3-4. You are protected in your knowing of Jesus v4-5-5. You are to be willing to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ

Main Point- In the same way there is no Creation without Christ, there is no New Creation without Christ. The Lord of the universe is head of the church and so we are to see the cosmic scope of the gospel. -1. Jesus has the authority in the same way he made the world, he made the church v18--2. You are to recognize that Jesus is uniquely qualified as your head v19--3. You are reconciled by the blood of Jesus Christ alone. V20--4. You were once alienated from God and in opposition to him v21--5. He radically converts you for in being reconciled you are transformed v22--6. The Condition of this reconciliation is that you are to continually depend on Christ. V23
