Af: In die helder, koue lug van 'n Kaapse winter stap Pieter stadig deur die Kirstenbosch Botaniese Tuin.
En: In the clear, cold air of a Kaapse winter, Pieter walks slowly through the Kirstenbosch Botaniese Tuin.

Af: Die groen heuwels wat aan die voet van Tafelberg lê, is rustig en stil.
En: The green hills lying at the foot of Tafelberg are peaceful and quiet.

Af: Pieter, 'n toegewyde botanis, kom hierheen om sy gedagtes te fokus en sy hartseer te verwerk.
En: Pieter, a dedicated botanist, comes here to focus his thoughts and process his sorrow.
