We hit on the important news of the week - the voting machine lawsuit against Fox, some more Marjorie Taylor Greene news, the VP Kamala Harris tie-breaking vote, Biden sending out masks (although we have no idea how this is going to work), and Trump's security briefings. We do a deep dive on SpaceX and the privatization of space. Then we go into some good news of the week, with a quick detour of the funny news of the week (this is where you'll find out about rim jobs).
This is the story of a girl; just kidding, it's a story of Marjorie Taylor Greene and all of her conspiracies. Alycia does an amazing Georgia accent. We also jump in line with the vaccination line jumpers (with a small movie review), all before we learn about Gamestop and the stock market chaos. We end with some good news of the week to show that there is actually light at the end of the tunnel.
Where we talk about the Biden Inauguration (the ladies serving lewks), the 43 things Biden did in his first day, the Covid response, a deep dive into what $15/hr will actually get you (and how it's not enough), how the Proud Boys are not so proud of their leader, and an actual Trump Dump.
The deep dive into QAnon. This week we go all in (and hope they don't dox us in the process) and figure out the beginnings of QAnon - the real beginnings and one follower's idea of the beginnings in 1901. We define the terms, try to figure out who Q is, talk about the crazy things they did before the insurrection, bring up the Backstreet Boys, and go into a fun Trump Dump that somehow comes full circle.
This will be a long episode because I don't know if you hear but there was an insurrection at the Capitol. We're going to hit on our (least) favorite senator, Mr. Hawley (and I learned how to say his name). We'll make sure you know how Rep. (R-IL) Mary Miller is because she said Hitler was right. And then we'll get to what you're all waiting for - the storming of the Bastille - wait, no, the Capitol. We discuss how it was pre-planned, upcoming attacks (allegedly), the timeline of events, his fans having second thoughts, the state of Arkansas, the Senate aides who saved the day and deserve a medal, what impeachment entails, and how Kevin Sorbo is a piece of shit.
Of course, it wouldn't be a podcast without a little love/hate for Mitch #bluemitchesredstates. We then go into a deep dive with his nemesis, Sen. Josh Hawley (and how we can't pronounce it). It's also time for a little seasonal depression with a new Stand Your Ground law, before we discuss Walmart and pharmacists (what a jump!). Then, we dump Trump (although really, do we ever dump anyone?) before going into the good news of the week. Twisted Tea - real memeable moment or the best advertisement we didn't think of? Lastly, London shows the world how to end 2020 right.
This week: Pengwings get covid, memes + business lunch deductions and how foreign aid is under ANOTHER bill and NOT the covid relief bill, whites only church proves we're still racist, Twitter threatens to get rid of WH followers, and Alycia doesn't wear a shirt!
We discuss the failure of herd immunity, the USPS backup, our Mitch McConnell fanclub, Dr. Jill Biden and the crappy credentials of Tucker Carlson, and the decahedron of Trump (should have been dodecahedron but we figured it out too late). Included is good news of the week where Florida Man redeems himself and Saved By the Bell is the new best show ever because of Josie Totah. Like always, Alycia will propose and like always, Gemma will push her love away.
Facebook, Supreme Court decisions, the one nice thing about Trump, Ellen Degeneres and karma, *allegedly*, and good news of the week. Join us on our journey into this podcast!
Where we talk about the pandemic, masks, our work places, and good news of the week.
