Elizabeth and Jason are passionate about making the world better by sharing uplifting music and comedy fiction. They believe that communication through the arts can have a significant positive impact on each individual, including the creator and the audience.

They also believe that “culture leads politics,” meaning that culture and the arts are the best way to have an impact on individuals and society.

Alicia Williams is on a mission to take a humanistic approach to human resources. When I first started my journey investigating a framework for leadership, I searched online for great leaders that I could learn about and study. I read about Martin Luther King, Jr., Steve Jobs, Mother Theresa, and even Hitler. But I realized I'd been studying one leader for over 21 years... Jesus.

Jesus defines SAGE Leadership. The most self-aware person to ever live. He exemplified accountability and integrity. His life was an example of a mindset that reflex growth. Finally, his mission was to empower the world to be able to have a relationship with God. 

So, yeah, he ticks the boxes on SAGE. 

But as I've researched, interview, and applied this framework there was a piece missing. Until recently, I didn't realize this. After reflecting on 21 years of a relationship with Jesus and all the time I've spent reading the bible, something dawned on me. Jesus is THE example of what SAGE Leadership is. 

I don't claim that what I talk about in this episode is the definitive and most important attributes of Jesus or any great leader, just that these clearly are needed.

Sometimes we need wake-up calls to help us focus on what we were meant to focus on. Sometimes those wake-up calls take months and years to really take root. That's my story. After a crazy accident on my Harley, you'd think it'd help me refocus my life and change direction, it did but much later. 

I believe there are threads in our lives that weave together that form a rope that is anchored to the future that is out there for us. But we need to look around to see the threads and pick them up. Sometimes we need to let go of the wrong paths and things that don't fit us so we can follow the unique path that is there for us. 

In 2021, I want you to have clarity around the path forward for you. I want you to take the jumbled mess of ideas, goals, plans, etc., and tease out the clear path and get moving. As a coach, this is exactly what I do with my clients. We work together to bring perspective to sometimes overwhelming situations.
